The Mexico City Sicarios coming to a city near you. Can’t wait till the first player is kidnapped and held for ransom by the cartels

Correct. Let me rephrase

"The plan is to add 2 teams regardless"

The point of going to Mexico City is to get more money in a deal vs Seattle.

Not picking either would lose the most money out of the options. They take the cheaper Seattle deal > not choosing a 2nd team.

If they are trying to maximize profit then they aren't simultaneously trying to lose the most money possible by choosing neither.

Cartel Night would be fun. Everyone gets a key bump every time the home team hits a free throw

Seattle should call their bluff.

Just tell them if they get a better bid than Seattle in Mexico, they should take it.

A team name in Mexico incorporating the word “wet” will still work in Seattle 3 years later.
