Poor Samantha. You can tell just how much she loved him, my heart goes out to those two kids. And Kurt, I can’t imagine what he’s thinking right now

frick. Felt sick in the morning and dead by that afternoon? That's wild, especially as young as he was.

I was never a Kyle fan but boy, could he drive a racecar. One of the greatest in the sport in the last 20 years. I really thought he was pointed in the right direction and hoped he would do well at RCR. This is devastating, awful news. May he rest in peace and may God comfort his family and friends. Truly heartbreaking.

I hated him for a long time. He started to grow on me as time went on. His truck teams and the drivers he developed within the team was impressive.

RIP Rowdy

This is terrible. Too many drivers I grew up watching are dying this year

Heart Attack?

Almost certainly had a cardiac arrest in the hospital for him to go this quick

Side effects from the steroid shot? I know someone who got a steroid shot for a sinus infection recently and has had tons of medical issues since.

Do you think it was the steroid shot that did him in? I want to hear this theory.

The sad thing is - you can’t replace him. I know this is different than Earnhardt in every way but in so many ways it’s similar.

They were winners who dominated and didn’t care what anyone thought about them or how they won.

The sport is going to miss his presence - big time.

I’m betting some type of infection that might have been brewing and then exploded. It’s not uncommon and can kill you in an instant.

RIP …say hello to Dale Sr.

I watched the NASCAR show on Netflix and he was a totally different guy off the track.

WTF? Illness?

Not to be grim, but someone like that passes away at 41 and I usually expect suicide.

The sport has lost so many great personalities over the years as the newer era has taken over. Kyle was one of the last ones who wasn’t a cornball stiff

I remember during the Watkins Glen race he radio’s that he needed to see a doctor after the race. That was about two weeks ago so he must’ve been battling complications from something for the past couple of weeks
