Colston/Lance Moore/Meachem

The packers were loaded at receiver when they had Jennings, Driver and Jordy Nelson

Obviously the patriots with Moss were nasty

Showing my age, but got to go with the Chargers of the 80's.

Kellen Winslow
Charlie Joiner
Wes Chandler

Winslow and Joiner were in the Hall of Fame and Chandler was better than both while in his prime with the Chargers.

Awesome trio, but not underrated. They get lots of recognition for possibly the best trio, and deservedly so.

Those three, Harrison, Wayne, Stokely, and Monk, Clark, Sanders are pretty well known as possibly the Top 3 trios of all time.

Damn good squad. Forgot about them in my post above. Definitely not "underrated", though.

That group, if you're talking about underrated as in never getting recognition for their production, meets the standard with what they did during the '95 and '96 seasons.

That Lions run and shoot, with Barry Sanders, put up some impressive numbers both rushing and passing. The defense outside of Chris Spielman and Bennie Blades was mostly garbage.

As a trio, they are most *definitely* underrated. Yes, Moss and Carter are appropriately rated individually, and celebrated, but the question was trios, not individuals.

Reed had 4 straight 1,100 yard seasons as the 3rd option-- and this was an offense that still had very effective backs, in Robert Smith at the end, and a 1,000 yard Terry Allen at the start.

All of Jake Reed's 1,000 yard seasons were before Randy Moss was drafted. He was the clear #2 wide receiver on the team during those years.

In fact, now looking back, Reed was a weaker third option that what was in those trios mentioned in my prior post. So I take back what I said. As a legit trio, those Colts, Skins and Rams trios are above, and the Lions trio definitely way more underrated than Vikings with Moss, Carter and Reed.

I was coming here to post the same thing. As a kid in San Diego, I always daydreamed that I was Dan Fouts throwing to those guys. People don't remember those Chargers greats because San Diego isn't a big market, and also because they never got past the AFC Championship game, but that doesn't make those offenses any less great. I remember one year that the Chargers had the NFL's best offense and worst defense. I remember going to one game in Jack Murphy stadium that, in my memory, we won something like 52-44, but I just looked that the game scores for those years and don't see a game like that, so I don't know which one it was.

The run a shoot days with Barry as the lone RB.

That team was fun to watch. I remember the three of them either all had over 100 receptions or were close that one season.
