If the indication is that the pre Durant Warriors were better than the Cavs of that time, and this is why I don’t take these arguments or the others in this thread seriously, they were not. LeBron was the best player and the Cavs were the better team built for playoff success with a 2-1 lead despite injuries to their 2 other offensive stars to start.
They were also better in 16 as the warriors were fools to chase a record (with an assistant sitting at the head spot).

Let’s take you and slows comparative logic and apply it universally because it doesn’t strictly apply to basketball. Matt Stafford and Phillip Rivers are better QBs than John Elway and Joe Montana. That’s the same argument you’re making here.

You were in the thread arguing with him

Well then

I just laugh at them now. They are complete deranged losers no different than this woman right here
It’s classic they can’t see they are the other side of the coin

I’d ask that you stop being dishonest about what I said but I know you can’t do that and continue your argument so…..

Talk about painting a false narrative.
The 15 Cavs healthy beat the brakes of the warriors. Even with 2/3 stars they took them to OT when Irving got hurt.

He also failed to win heads up against his piers. Specifically Curry, Durant, Dirk and Duncan not including the other times he failed to reach the mountaintop. He’s better historically than Durant, mostly because of Durant’s injuries. He’s better than Dirk. He’s inferior to Duncan as a basketball player. Curry is probably a coin flip but 3-1 is 3-1. Both of those guys are lesser than Russell and Russell and Duncan are very damn close.
Wait, your argument for why LeBron is worse than Duncan and maybe Curry is because he lost to them? Let's go through this absurdity.
LeBron lost to Duncan when he was 22 years old and led a Cavs team featuring Big Z and Drew Gooden all the way to the Finals. The Spurs literally threw everything at LeBron and ignored his teammates. The fact that he led that team to the Finals at that age is absurd. At the same age, Michael Jordan was playing NCAA basketball.
LeBron lost to Curry in 2015. You omit the fact that both Kyrie and Love were injured for that series. The Cavs' second leading scorer after LeBron was Mosgov.
In 2014, LeBron lost to the Duncan Spurs but he averaged 28.2 PPG on 57.1% shooting, including 53% on threes! The Spurs team featured the Big Three Spurs plus Kawhi having emerged as a legitimate star.
In 2017 and 2018, LeBron lost to the most stacked team of all-time featuring prime Durant, Curry, Klay, and Green, plus a very deep bench. Across those two series, LeBron averaged 33.5 PPG, 9.25 RBG, 10 APG on 55% shooting. He was clearly the best player on the court, but he was outgunned. Especially in 2018 since Kyrie was gone.
It would be like saying Isaiah Thomas is better than MJ because MJ couldn't beat those Pistons teams in the late 80s. MJ was 10-12 against Detroit in the Playoffs despite the fact that MJ was the best player on the court.

Oh the team that has the most regular season wins in NBA history wasn't better?
And you say you can't take us seriously?

Another double standard. You guys just move the goalpost and make contradictory statements in every post. No wonder your arguments are so poor.

But he will arguably go down less accomplished than he could have been especially in championships.
Saying "especially in championships" insinuates that he also is less accomplished as an individual, which is wild.
You are inferring things not implied.
If you like then read that statement as because of playoff losses because the heart of the criticism is the part of his career critics will be able to justly criticize.
It is unfair perhaps because other great players (not named Bill Russell) have a lot of black marks on their record too. The GOAT discussions are like this.

He lost to Duncan again, and without Ray Allen a 3rd time.
Duncan is top 5 ever and yes over LeBron James.

I think a compelling argument when looking at Kobe and Lebron is in the 2012 Olympics, Lebron deferred to the aging Bryant.
