Has to be this one. It was Game 7 of the World Series.

That beats a pennant winner or a Game 6.

Score was tied though

Home runs to win hit different when you’re trailing, even more so with two out, even more so with two strikes

Pujols vs Lidge was the first answer that came to mind

Was that the one where they show Pettite in the dugout say oh my god?

Yep, it's at about the 14 second mark.

Babe Ruth calling his shot against the Cubs in the World Series is a pretty iconic - if debated - moment in baseball history.

Best home run nobody will remember

A guy not known for power chokes up and takes Aroldis Chapman deep to tie G7 of the World Series at home. Two cursed franchises putting on an epic game 7, and the crowd goes absolutely bananas after the 8th inning blast. Then the rain came, and we know the rest.

Freddie's is the most dramatic in the last 30 years or so (since Joe Carter)

no just no they had the bases loaded in a 1 run game vs Nestor Cortes. Are we serious?

1. David Freese in Game 6 of the 2011 World Series
2. David Ortiz in Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS

were both more iconic.

Gibson, Shot Heard Roundd the World are 1 and 2

Not most dramatic...but in 2019...Howie Kendrick had 2 hrs in different series that essentially ended both

What you got?

If the guy who through the pitch is also remembered for the home run, it’s a good chance the HR is near the top.

Also came back the next night with a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 8th to tie the game.

No question.

Personally, I wanted to see the Cubs win the WS. But that was a great scene. Baseball, while it can be boring at times, does a tremendous job at building suspense because of the delays between action. The shots of all the fans, for both teams, going through intense anxiety, followed by the euphoria of the HR was great.

IMO, Gibson's is still No. 1 just because of the circumstances. It's a Hollywood script. Star who is injured, can barely run, facing the best closer in the game in a do or die spot. Vin Scully narrating the events makes it even better. "You talk about a roll of the dice. This is it"

I'm not a Dodgers fan...or even a huge MLB fan (compared to other sports), but that scene of Gibson hobbling around the bases, pumping his fist, with the backdrop of the crowd going nuts is one of the best scenes in sports history

Nothing had more drama than this one......
What made it awesome was the fact Goose threw 100 mph and Brett crushed a high heater.

How about is slam v Detroit to tie the game in 2013? Dude was the best clutch hitter in modern day history.
