They have a really really small fan base fwiw. Not very many people in NC cheer for Duke outside of their students, most of which aren't from NC to begin with.
(Even the people who live in Durham, not all..but most people are NC State or UNC fans in the triangle)

I get the arrogance reputation about Alabama fans, but don't understand the delusional part. Rivals were constantly calling us delusional for thinking we could find a better coach than Mike Shula who went 4-8, 6-5, 10-3, and 6-7. I totally get the arrogance, but I don't know why Bama fans get bashed for being delusional for expecting a lot from their football program when it has been so good so long. I find rival fans more delusional for thinking that Alabama would be forever irrelevant considering it's long consistent football history.

ALABAMA. Nothing compares. On Bill King's radio station this summer the faithful Crimson Tide fans could not fathom their team ever losing another game. A host called up saying he thought Bama would lose at least twice. The phone lines exploded. Well he was wrong. Bama lost 3x.

AGREED. BUT for THIS generation LSU hadn't won shite up until 2003, and NOW they think there shite don't stink and EVERY game they may lose is cause of the refs. I know, I know................. BUT.
