The Baseball Bat Bros make a cool video comparing new school bats with an iconic model. Also gives a shoutout to LSU gorilla ball teams.

That was awesome. The lefty going to GT can absolutely rake.

I think the orange stealth was the hottest composite bat ever created.

I’m glad you posted this, good job. I remember those days and it’s a wonder someone didn’t get decapitated by a line drive.

It was indeed stupid hot. I don't think it was hotter than that Orange Stealth though. That thing was dangerous.

Kinda dumb that they didn't compare these to USSSA drop 5 bats.

Edit: he got 120mph so that's pretty impressive.

Not sure what the deal is with this dude hitting at cars. Does he pay for the damage?

Some of those TPX bats were surprisingly good.

I had the Gen1X (green and black) before I had the stealth. It was loud and had some pop, but I got jammed one time when Jeremy Bleich was pitching and the bat shattered into 100 pieces. The bat only lasted 2 months

I think someone almost did. I remember a pitcher (Arizona State maybe?) getting hit by a comebacker that was like 120mph off the bat. That's when they started looking at changing the bats.

Never got to swing that one, after my time.

Got LSU a natty though

I don't even like baseball anymore but watching that video I couldn't help but laugh my arse off with the first guy hitting with the Reflex. You can easily see the difference in the exit velocity and how the ball hangs

It’s really apparent with misses.

One of those opposite field slices that bangs off the wall in right was incredible. The lefty popped one up and ignored it. It sailed over the fence.

Green Easton and Black Magic (90-92) both sent many balls over the fence. Biggest sweet spot ever.

Jesus that reflex bat is fricking nuts.

I’m genuinely curious what a bat could do if we told these manufacturers “make me the most powerful, hottest bat you possibly can”. I’d love to see that

As far as I know it was the first banned bat in the LHSAA rulebook that met all the requirements but was too "hot". It came out in like 08 and in 2011 we had a guy called out for trying to use one the last year of the BESR bats.
