It's baseball, the Pirates swept the Dodgers, the Braves lost 2/3 to the Cubs, the Astros lost 2/ to the M's and Marlins

Nasty Nestor winning the Cy Young would guarantee that they lose in the ALDS.

Good news for the Yankees then, because McClanahan is running away with it.

Red Sox are struggling big time. ASB can't get here quick enough.

I have no sympathy or AL East teams' rough stretches.

Until you've cheers'd your random neighbor after watching a former fan favorite (Jonathan Schope) hit a HR off your middle of the longest hitless streak in MLB history, highest paid player on the team (and still is today), Chris Davis... pitching...

You don't know pain.

ETA: Who am I kidding that was fricking awesome

Os have a 10 bagger.

God damnit if Grayson didn't pull his back... August would be rocking in Camden Yards.

DL could still be brought up but he won't start, I just wish my wife loved me as much as DL loves Ks. I feel like a 4-3 ground out is the equivalent of a castration for him.

Dodgers spot the Cards 6 and come back to score 2 in the 7th, 3 in the 8th and 2 in the 9th to win 7-6.

All on the manager there.

Don't use your all star best arm in baseball closer because he threw just 13 pitches the night before coming from an off day?

Makes zero sense. Protecting his arm my arse.

I wasn’t listening to the broadcast and was confused why Helsley wasn’t out there against one of the best teams in baseball up 1 in the 9th. I just assumed he needed a break, but yeah he pitched yesterday and was off day before.

He said after the game he would have pitched 5 games in 7 days. It's time to get rid of or send down VerHagen. I don't care either way.

That's a horseshite cop out, he had the day off then threw 13 pitches. Anyone else would be available there.

Maybe. But it's stupid as hell pulling starters so early in some of the games recently. Hudson pitched 6 shuout innings on Saturday throwing just 84 pitches. But was needlessly taken out. Liberatore on Thursday was yanked after 4 shutout innings and 73 pitches. Mikolas last Wednesday gave up 3 runs in 6 innings with 92 pitches. Quit treating the starters with kid gloves so the damn bullpen doesn't need to pick up the extra workload. The bullpen gets overworked, and it eventually rears it's ugly head like tonight.

Castillo vs Cortes in NY tonight, hopefully Nestor bounces back after a few rough starts for him and gives the Yankees some length.

Early game with Miami and Pittsburgh today

Bunch of great pitching matches

Burnes vs Rodon
Gonzales vs Perez
Cueto vs Gray
