Stanton will not be moved, no one wants the full contract, the Marlins are trying to shed payroll and want prospects to keep them relevant.

Maybin and Miller were top prospects or ranked high in Tigers system, so at the time it seemed like the Marlins got close to fair value in the deal. Unfortunately for them, neither developed into what they thought they would be.

Maybin was a #1 prospect for awhile but I can see why teams want MLB ready talent now rather than prospects that rarely make it now.
