Or will all 3 go ahead and cancel with the Chauvin verdict supposed to be announced?

The NBA has instructed teams to be vigilant about the impact of a potential verdict this week in the Derek Chauvin trial for the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, including the possibility of game postponements, sources told ESPN.
The looming specter of possible protests, civil unrest and team reactions in the aftermath of a verdict has the league office preparing for the prospect that a night or two of league games could be postponed this week, sources said.
Final arguments are expected Monday in the case against Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer who faces charges of second-degree murder, third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter in Floyd's death after he held his knee on Floyd's neck for more than nine minutes in May 2020. Chauvin has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

If you're boycotting, why do you care what they do?

You mean we can't talk about a sports story because the OP doesn't watch the sport?

If players boycott playing games because he is found not guilty, they are fricking pussies. Society has become so incredibly soft.

He's going to be found not guilty because St. George died of an overdose. That is what happens when you ingest enough fentanyl to put an elephant down.

When a player boycotts a game, do they lose any money?

Are they paid by the game or is the salary just set per year?

I think they all bend the knee and cancel right at top of/first pitch/puck drop. Major media coverage followed by pre-recorded racial equity propaganda.

I think we should all inject some fentanyl, toot up some meth, then shove a gun in a pregnant woman’s stomach and rob her in honor of St George Floyd. If pro sports are serious about honoring this wonderful human being then they’ll be giving out free meth and fentanyl at the gates. It’s the only way to know they’re serious and woke enough

Not what he was saying. He's saying why does OP care if he's boycotting them all

Hell, the NBA might cancel the season. I vote that they should regardless of the verdict.

If verdict is being announced on Monday it means he’s been found guilty on all charges so there would be no reason to cancel.

I’m behind on news but if there are reports that verdict is already due back I’m very sad for our country and for the future of our judicial system for people with my political beliefs.

MLB will probably be first to the punch. They’re trying so hard to prove they can be as woke as the NFL and NBA

The OP doesn't really care (unless you want to claim I care because I posted the link) the OP thinks it is an interesting story. Especially considering viewership was down across all leagues last year during the same type of behavior.
Curious how this will impact each league and their bottom line. More of a cause and effect fan, I guess you can say.

Closing arguments are Monday so I doubt there will be a verdict for a few days.

NBA will be first, no doubt. MLB will follow suit.

The Jury won’t get the case until Tuesday late
You have
Prosecutors close
Defense close
Prosecutors rebuttal
Jury instructions
Deliberation

The verdict will be quick if guilty but longer it goes on the country will burn

Ellison should’ve let Feds handle this instead of trying to score political points.
