It does. It says it's prohibited. The rule literally says that.

i honestly don't know if you have some kind of psychological/mental condition, but you don't seem to grasp basic concepts

11.6.1 deals with advanced scouting. nowhere in that section does it prohibit 3rd party vendors to record game footage and sell to others

13.4.4 deals with recruiting. that's ENTIRELY difficult

this might be my last post on this topic. i don't know if i'm being trolled, or just dealing with someone who doesn't have the mental capacity to differentiate basic things

if you think UM violated the spirit of the rules, that's a different debate. personally, i've never cared for that aspect. that has been "broken" thousands of times, and it's highly interpretive

It couldn't be more clear, regardless of whatever that word salad above says.

correct

no one who was employed by UM scouted any opponents using electronic methods. it couldn't be more clear

It doesn't say anything about being employment status, 3rd party service, etc.

It says it's prohibited, full stop.

and guess what, it's the NCAA rulebook. it's not in the US constitution, nor is it a part of International Law

NCAA doesn't have jurisdiction over the average fan recording and selling it to whomever they want.

holy hell you are "special"

True, but they do prohibit a team's use of it. Strictly prohibited.

Stallions (US Marine)

I don't really give a shite about this one way or the other, but what the hell does this have to do with anything? You've mentioned it at least twice, as if it means something in all of this that the guy is a Marine. I can assure you the fact (I'm taking your word for it here) that he's a Marine doesn't preclude him from anything. There are plenty of Marines out there who are garbage people who have done a whole lot worse than cheat in an already broken game.

that's where he learned a lot of his skills and code-breaking abilities

“I focus on using my experience to employ Marine Corps philosophies and tactics into the sport of football regarding strategies in staffing, recruiting, scouting, intelligence, planning and more,” the LinkedIn page read. “I emphasize … identifying the opponent’s most likely course of action and most dangerous course of action; identifying and exploiting critical vulnerabilities and centers of gravity in the opponent scouting process…”

I find it hilarious that there are people saying no rules were broken. Yet Harbaugh was suspended by the least for multiple games and the NCAA is about to release a report about their rule breaking.

Whether it is as serious as people think it should be or not, there was obviously some sort of violation. To argue otherwise is to just not worth it.

They are getting allegations against them relating to this scouting, whether you want to point out rules and interpret them however you want. Therefore, the NCAA thinks rules were broken/stretched absurdly

You both act like really bad attorneys. I hope neither of you are for the benefit of clients

it's one thing for your rival to hate you, but when everyone hates you.. maybe it's you?

Geez the ad hominems and circular logic used in this melt for something that probably won't amount to a big punishment speaks volumes about how triggered Michigan rivals are now that Michigan's winning at a high level again
