He's used to owning a losing franchise. It's the branding.

Keep trying different sports until you find one you dont suck at being an owner of. Kinda same idea as with playing different sports. Probably wont be good at this one though.

MJ and Denny have been partners for a long time. I think Jordan Brand sponsors him. This is a pretty cool move

Makes sense. Jordan is a huge nascar guy. Needs to get a better driver than Bubba though.

So much for avoiding politics to help your brand.

This is like starting a football team and declaring Nathan Peterman is your franchise qb

MJ is really putting himself out on a limb with this decision.

Bubba Wallace is also likely to bring sponsors with him, as well. Having sponsors come with you gives a driver a huge advantage in getting a ride.

This also makes sense as a move for Hamlin because he drives for Joe Gibbs Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing likes to have a satellite team that they partner with. Their current satellite team, Levine Family Racing, is closing at the end of this season.

Jordan is a competitor and this is the least competitive and most boring “sport” there is. I doubt he can make it through watching an entire NASCAR race.

He’s been a fan since the 80s. He used to own a motorcycle racing team 10 years ago I think.

I feel like of all the places you could risk losing a shitload of money, a nascar team is in the top couple.

Seems like a strong financial move.
