Confirmed to me why I don't like Cris Carter. When they were both still playing, Carter told Irvin's wife to leave him so that he could get better.

He's going with the addiction is a disease angle.

Tell that to the kids dying of cancer.

The common cold is a disease. Tell that to kids with cancer.

Whether you like it or not, addiction is a disease. Your opinion doesn't change facts.

It's a mental disorder, not a disease.

I wish ESPN would pull the trigger and get this idiot off of my television.

As much as as hated Sean Salisbury, at least that guy provided something, unlike Carter. But you send one wang picture out and all of a sudden you're a bad guy.

Which makes it a disease.

Sorry to rely on science and facts instead of the opinions of young people.

No, it doesn't. It makes it a mental DISORDER. I don't consider anxiety to be a disease either, it's a disorder.

What you call it doesn't matter. The point is that Gordon has a problem and needs help, and I have no problem with Carter said about it.

gordon doesn't seem like an addiction issue. More, I'm incredibly talented so I'll do what ever I want and probably get out of it

People can't help a tumor being malignant. They can put the bottle down no matter how strong the urge is.

(Agree, this isn't an addiction issue. It's an issue of an enabled a-hole.)

It's not a disease. Is over eating a disease? Is gambling addiction a disease? It's a fricking choice that one consciously makes. One doesn't consciously choose to get cancer.

Come on, people.
