He doesn't, he's set. And it seems like if they'll be any criticism it'll be on Lebron for forcing the dream of them playing together and ending Bronny's college career.

He needs to stay in college and develop. No idea why he would rush this.

I feel bad for Bronny. He's a solid player but external expectations place an unfair weight on him

Considering what Bronny has looked like this season, why the frick would he even declare?
Seems like no one is even stopping to consider whether he even wants this.

I don't see why he would. This is all what Lebron wants, not the kid.

Has there ever been a player who only scored 5pts/game been drafted?

If Lebron actually cared about his son’s basketball development he would make him stay in school. Bronny has been very mediocre on a shitty USC team. He is nowhere near ready for the NBA. Wouldn’t even sniff the G League if he wasn’t Lebron’s son.

I’m not sure why he would declare when he can stay at USC, enjoy life in college as a pseudo celebrity, and perhaps take on a more prominent role and develop in the process

Hanging on where?? Lebron is easily top the top player in the league at his age. Its not like watching MJ at the end of his era.

Geez, I’m tired of this organization bending over backwards for LeBron. He’s Top 2 to ever do it and I respect the hell outta what he’s doing at this stage of his career and what he’s given to my favorite team. But it’s the outside stuff that always annoys me. After seeing the Warriors trade rumors this week had me thinking maybe it’s time to ride off into the sunset with another team.

And btw it would be cool for him to link up with his son for a couple years..just not on the Lakers.

Off the top of my head, Lively, who was drafted 14th by the Mavs, only scored 5 points a game at Duke. But obviously his minutes were low and he’s 7ft tall.

Steven Adams was another random lotto pick that averaged 7 points.

I’m sure there are other examples. Not saying Bronny is akin to either of those guys I listed.
