The Athletic says that "the Lakers are willing to explore the notion of adding Bronny James next season. This stance, the source said, is rooted in the reality that James’ happiness truly matters to the organization". Other teams that hope to sign Lebron are focused on Bronny too.

Bronny's averaging 6 points and 3 rebounds per game for a mediocre team on bad shooting including 27% from 3.

So that leaves ESPN with no choice but to resort to ESPN things:

Lebron James is single handedly torpedoing the Lakers

Would Laker fans revolt for this kind of horseshite or welcome it with open arms?

That is not an ESPN graphics package buddy

Pretty sure that’s like PAC-12 network or something

Why? There's been basically no critical talk about his play at all.

I think he is referring to being the son of an all time great and the expectations that accompany that.

I’ll laugh when Lebron doesn’t sign with a (non contender) team that drafts Bronny

Sort of like Jordan when playing minor league baseball

Edit: in no way did I ever intend to say Bronny is MJ, my point was MJ was in minor league baseball for a while but no one could give any constructive feedback because of his name and only wanted to be his friend.

He might make the lakers G league roster with an occasional call up but it’s no way they’re wasting a roster spot on bronny

Considering what Bronny has looked like this season, why the frick would he even declare?

At the least, kid needs more seasoning. He ain’t getting that in the G League because, frankly, there are better prospects on teams like Ignite which have the guys not yet drafted.

Would the NBA go as far as write a script of LeBron James and Bronny being the 1st Father/Son to play/win a championship together?

But nobody is holding him up to those expectations. He's averaging 5 pts on 35% shooting and there's still suggestions of him being a NBA player. He's the most well-known men's college player but he's getting kid gloves treatment or totally under the radar. Bleacher Report just wrote a special addendum to their mock draft explaining why he wasn't in it but how he could still get drafted.

Well quite frankly with his Nil earnings does he ever have to really be great at basketball. The family has generational wealth, and that’s an understatement. It’s a win win no matter what.

I’m not sure why he would declare when he can stay at USC, enjoy life in college as a pseudo celebrity, and perhaps take on a more prominent role and develop in the process. Reality and adulthood is going to hit real hard when you’re in the G League riding the bench and nobody around you gives a frick who you are
