At the 2013 Memorial Tournament, the course that Urban lives on.

I gave him not one, but two of the loudest motherfricking Geaux Tigers I could muster.

First, was him in his backyard, I fricking yelled at him from 30 yards away. The 6 little OSU interns I was with were absolutely appalled.

The second, he was trying to lowkey walk through the crowd during the tournament, I rolled up behind him in a cart and shouted it again. This time, about 200 people heard me, half of which jumped 3 feet in the air.

My conclusion, his heart is just fine.

, wrong. OSU policy...

quote:

members of the university
community have an additional obligation to report all other incidents of sexual misconduct, when they receive a
disclosure of sexual misconduct or become aware of information that would lead a reasonable person to believe
that sexual misconduct may have occurred involving anyone covered under this policy.
These individuals must
report the incident within five work days of becoming aware of such information:
1. Any human resource professional (HRP);
2. Anyone who supervises faculty, staff, students, or volunteers;
3. Chair/director; and
4. Faculty member.

Without a smoking gun showing definitively that Urbs knew, that’s all the wiggle room Ohio State needs to let him off the hook.

But to me, it’s all or nothing. Either you cling to the fiction he didn’t know and Urbs gets absolutely nothing. Or you declare he knew and fire him. Trying to placate both sides by some nebulous statement like “mistakes in judgement were made in this unfortunate situation” and a token suspension only makes Ohio State look terrible.

I didn't claim a falsehood. Ohio is an at will work state.

He is not going to sue for getting fired for being a domestic abuser.

Awful Announcing has heard most ESPN CFB reporters were at a company seminar when this broke, which added to the delays in covering it.

Everything has been investigated and he won't be charged/convicted.

You got caught being dumb. As Urban is showing us, it's best to just admit things up front.

I'm a golf course superintendent. I volunteer on grounds teams throughout the year at nice tournaments.

Or he wasn't arested?

We all know he wasn't officially arrested. But someone checked the arrest box on the initial report. Someone thought he was or was going to be. It's plausible that something happened to cause the police to let him go.

Maybe it was an error. Maybe Smith didn't do it. Maybe someone got him out of a jam before they processed him.

Conflicting police reports makes this story smell even more.

Again, Ohio is an at will work state.

IDGAF why Urban fired this dude. He isn't going to sue.

Meanwhile, you should take your own advice since you just got served a couple posts above w/OSU policy.

According the OSU policy in place in 2015...

quote:

Relationship violence - Dating violence and domestic violence.

All such acts of relationship violence are forms of sexual misconduct covered under this policy.

Domestic violence:

Conduct that would meet the definition of a felony or misdemeanor crime of violence committed by the
complainant’s current or former spouse or intimate partner, a person with whom the complainant shares
a child in common, a person who is or has cohabitated with the complainant as a spouse or intimate
partner, or individual similarly situated to a spouse under domestic or family violence law, or anyone else
protected under the domestic or family violence law of the jurisdiction in which the offense occurred. An
individual need not be charged with or convicted of a criminal offense to be found responsible for
domestic violence pursuant to this policy.

Agree. We are about to see how good OSU is at crisis management. They caved under way less with Tressel who also won them a Natty.

Good Question. It just depends on if Domestic Abuse is wrapped under the rule.

He 100% will sue unless an agreement is reached. You're an idiot.
