I like Richt but this is what happens when you refuse to change your offense and you have a son on the same offensive staff.

Would be crazy if Oregon lost their HC to a FL school two years in a row.
Maybe they’ll hire Mullen.

Mark Richt has lost control of The Villages

Cristobal is crazy if he goes back to Miami. He has everything he could want at Oregon and the Miami facilities are bleh.
Based solely on the state of the programs, no sane person would take Miami over Oregon. But Cristobal was born, played, and coached the majority of is career in Miami. It has to be his dream job and I imagine most of his family and friends are there.
There's also the possibility that he or nor his wife embrace the PNW lifestyle. It's not for everybody.

Can you imagine Mike Leach with some Miami Florida recruits?

beach or a walk in the forest.
Temp is 75.
Temp is 44.
What lifestyle?
There is no there there in Eugene aside from college town atmosphere, which Miami lacks.
Not even direct flights.

Probably similar to Texas tech. Solid most years with one great season sprinkled in.
As others have mentioned, Miami is at a severe recruiting disadvantage with their second rate facilities.

I thought it might happen when Max Johnson committed to LSU

If I am Mario I would stay at Oregon. Pac 12 is garbage and he is recruiting on a level that should have him coast to 10-2 most years.
Miami needs to hire a Mike Leach or Butch Davis someone who can win with 2nd tier Miami kids

Supposedly some prominent former Cane players are pushing for Rex Ryan.

Oregon made it clear they aren't a stepping stone to Cristobal and they put some measures in his contract to avoid this happening again.
Not saying he can't or won't go but it won't be cheap and Uncle Phil is likely to put out a contract on his head

Rex Ryan would be a joke in college.

Dino Babers couldn’t say no, could he? He just peaked at Syracuse with a 10 win season.
