They did talk about it outside of those segments. I never felt they shortchanged any major topics.

it might not matter what they do with that show. The producers at ESPN have these guys develop a schtick that is necessary only like 10% of the time.
then it just annoys the crap out of people and becomes so repetitive the other 90% of the time.
no point in tuning into a show for analysis though.

The problem with both May and Holtz, to me at least, was they never tried to go outside of their pre-conceived notions whether right or wrong.
I mean May was trolling OSU all the way through the title game, saying Oregon's coach had the advantage in the title game and that he still didn't think OSU belonged.
Holtz thinks ND is going to be in the playoff every year.
I would have preferred if they had put Mack Brown into one of those slots. I like him, and he seems to be as fair as possible (maybe that's why they kept him out)

Yea, I never really had a problem with Mark May.
From time to time he would say something stupid or I'd get a homer vibe from him. But he wasn't complete shite.

Well so what? This is not 1970. I always thought it was dumb that analysts had to pretend that they don't have any rooting interests. We know they all do whether they express it on air or not.
Joey Galloway will make no bones about his Ohio State ties and you'll be just fine with it.

It's one thing to me if an analyst roots for his own team. May didn't play for Alabama or Florida. He played for Pitt. If he wants to openly root for Pitt I get it
I don't need anyone to run their mouth for or against OSU. This season is going to be one load of OSU crap after another and I could care less. I want J.T. Barrett to be QB and see where the season goes

Kanell is a worse version of Cowherd. He has all the trolling and none of the rationale of Cowherd. And I fricking hate Cowherd. Not that I watched the three ring circus that was College Football Final before, but I sure as shite won't watch this.

Kanell is on Finebaum's show a lot & that says it all as far as his qualifications. Just another troll pushing for higher ratings. And that is all the ESPN suits in N.Y. care about; caring bout the fans? Not one lick.

I like Kanell. He was seemingly the only guy all of last year saying the SEC West wasn't as good as everyone was making it out to be, and he was right. SEC West got smacked around in bowl season, with only Arky and A&M winning.
