Yep.

But the #1 most important ingredient for winning football games is the QB. Period.
Correct. So when you evaluate teams, you place a large emphasis on winning football games.

When you evaluate players, you don't.

Correct?

Good defenses or not, Brady is tGOAT. But you already knew that.

Just cause?

Or just cause of the winning?

It is important, but the charts prove it isnt the only thing, and not nearly as important as people want to make it.

Brady, Brees, Rodgers, and Manning are all within 2 spots of each other in Scoring offense, yet the disparity in wins is alot more, likely correlating with the large disparity in defensive rankings

I don't really have a problem with this conclusion at all.

At the same time though, it doesn't change how I view those particular quarterbacks at all. You can't penalize Brees for NOT winning 5 Super Bowls with his defenses, but you definitely can't penalize Brady FOR winning them.

Lastly, with numbers that close, fair or not, the ties do go to the guys with wins.

And I dont want people to. I want people to judge them on how they play the position of quarterback, not on a statistic than involves them being on the sideline for 50% of the time.....

In theory you can argue the shittier the defense, the more drives the offense can have in a game.

Awesome argument.

If you want to take the side of a losing argument, yes.

Judging a guy by his individual work, not his team's isn't penalizing or rewarding anyone for winning/not winning. It's quite the opposite.

That wouldn't be a tie if one guy had objectively better numbers

Jcorey/Brady and Baloo/Duke basketball are similar. 2 solid posters, but once you get them on those 2 subjects, forget it.

Get a fricking life.

Brady is the GOAT and I hope you are young enough to be reminded of this as the historians confirm it year, after year, after year.

Or, a disparity between the QBs' ability to win big games.

Thread after thread is posted with facts/numbers showing Brees is tGOAT and that Brady is overrated.

Out of the "Big 4"

Drop off in QB production on same team - last place Brady, first place Brees

Worst coach - last place Brady, first place Brees

Least Pro Bowlers in career - last place Brady, first place Brees

Worst defenses - last place Brady, first place Brees

Quickest time of possession - third place Brady, first place Brees

Worst Division - last place Brady, first place Brees

On and on and on it goes. Numbers upon numbers.

But BRADY goes to the SUPERBOWL!!!1!11

There is no such thing as individual work in football, can we be clear about that? You can always spin these things to fit whatever you want. Difference in weapons, difference in offensive line, defense changing game flows, etc...

There is no such thing as judging a quarterback independently because he doesn't perform independently

Aaron Rodgers playoffs numbers are much better than Brady,, not even a fair comparison.

Aaron Rodgers' defense gives up 35ppg in his playoff losses.

So...

Also Brees's career passer rating in playoff LOSSES would qualify as 12th all time....admittedly i read that on here earlier, didn't fact check it lol.
