if it were a straight discipline issue , I don't think Bill would be out taking bullets for him

He missed the flight to Minneapolis.

Nobody including Malcolm Butler has denied this, apparently he did go to the hospital, what it was for or if it was cover nobody knows.

Butler denies he broke curfew, and denies the drinking and/or weed.

quote:

He went off on a coach.

I think this is probably true, I do not think he was told right before the natinal anthem he would not play.

quote:

He was smoking weed in a team meeting.

Now that is one hot take, you are saying Malcolm Butler was lighting up in the middle of a team meeting, most reports are that he was smoking the night before with a female.

quote:

Or...nothing at all. Becuase Belichick said he wasn’t benched for disciplinary reasons.

Something happened, at the very least he missed the team flight to the SB . I actually think BB is doing him a solid by not saying anything.

Link or gtfo

It really sounds more like you just have a personal vendetta against Butler so you are just talking out of your arse.

One play on special teams.

The only active player who played as many or fewer plays than him on the Pats was Brady’s backup QB.

So is the story true of him partying his arse off while in Minnesota?

Reports today out of Boston had him getting benched solely for recent play...nothing more, nothing less...

Brady also showed support for Butler in a response on instagaram....he would obviously know what happened and wouldn't do it without Butler probably telling the truth.

Butler is a classy kid from nowhere ...I'm on his side on this one.

Belichik also CUT TIquan Underwood the night before the SB for no apparent reason...

Here is what Brady wrote in response to Butler denying doing anything wrong

quote:

"Love you Malcolm. You are an incredible player and teammate and friend. Always!!!!!!"
That damn near settles it. Brady wouldn't write that in response to Butlers post denying any wrongdoing if Butler was smoking weed and missing curfews....

I doubt Brady would be showing love to a teammate that smoked weed and missed curfew costing him a chance at his 6th ring

Do you think he didn't play just because Bill didn't want to play him?

What is untrue about this? Last time I look, the coach gets to decide who plays and who doesn't. If you don't do what he says, there can be consequences.

First Halen Mills. Now Butler.

Is Gronk a thug? Brady?

I think he played on special teams. So he evidently wasn't fully "suspended". Plus, if's he's suspended, then why allow him to dress? The fact that he was standing on the sidelines suited up but not playing led to more of a distraction than him just not being there.

Obviously he did something above just "poor play" to warrant not starting or playing on defense...in a game where the offenses combined for the most yards in NFL history. Not Super Bowl history. NFL history! Certainly his coach has the authority to suspend him. But the manner in which he did it seems petty and may not sit well with the other players on the team. Particularly in light of the fact he may have been able to help just enough to give NE the win in a game where neither defense could stop the opponent.

My 2 cents: this whole incident reflects poor on Hoodie in that he essentially benched Butler for an unproven backup before the National Anthem or something OF THE SUPER BOWL, Butler being fully dressed to play, no prior notice or anything, really doesn't make any sense from a logical standpoint

LOL, as if there is a place to party in MN, that is the lamest town I have been to, does ice on the ground make or break a party??

I don't care if your best SB winning corner is smoking a blunt during the Nation Anthem.... he plays until he sucks. This the SB dumb arse (BB or Patricia whom ever), you bench a guy on week 3 to show authority, you bring every big gun you have and all your bullets to the SB!

Why do the Pats players always seem to have this fear of the organization?

They don't pay as well as the rest of the league.

If you're a great player, you'll get picked up by tons of other teams.

But the players grovel like the Pats are Last Chance

It is the frontal lobotomy.
