Not sure where you stand on the overall discussion, but this is exactly why counting rings is less important than a whole bunch of other shite and honestly, not terribly relevant in this discussion.

What’s funny is these lemmings will use Super Bowls to declare Brady the GOAT when by their own standards, Otto Graham wipes the floor with them:

In 10 career seasons he won 7 League titles, 7 first team all-pros, and 5 MVPs.

So either you can either stand by your Championship argument and admit Graham is the vastly superior QB or you can drop that nonsense and recognize the truth.

Otto Graham and Bill Russell...name a more iconic duo!!

Just a couple of disrespected GOATs.

you said brady played worse in the playoffs

I said and yet he won five SB MVPs and had his best statistical performance in a SB in a loss

so five times on the biggest stage he was voted the best player in the game

he couid have easily been the MVP against the Eagles in a loss, that has happened before (Howley, SB V MVP)

Drew Brees playoff offenses score more points and turn the ball over less than Tom Brady playoff offenses. Drew Brees also has better production and efficiency numbers than Brady in the playoffs.

Brady has 7 Super Bowl wins

Brees has 1 Super Bowl win

Why do you think that is?

Something to ponder in addition to the above offensive numbers...

Brady has played with I believe it's 17 top 10 defenses

Brees has played with 2 top 10 defenses

So is the difference Brady or defenses?

That doesn’t even factor in SpyGate and DeflateGate either.

Just more playoff numbers:

TD%

Brees 5.1
Brady 4.6

INT%

Brees 2.1
Brady 2.1

YPA

Brees 7.4
Brady 7

Rating

Brees 97.1
Brady 89.8

Someone explain how that's the difference between 7 and 1 Super Bowls.

Someone explain how pretty clearly worse play allowed Brady to go 35-13 in the SB and Brees 9-9...

And again, please do so while also adding the context that Brady played with 17 top 10 defenses and Brees 2...

if I told you can get the best sustained 6 year period of QB play, you take Mahomes over Brady, and there's really no logical argument otherwise.
quote:

This isn't hard.

Mahomes has played the position of QB higher than Brady or any other QB ever for a sustained period of time.

Brady played it at a high level for longer than any QB ever

sure

that isnt remotely what this thread was about

GOAT is sum total, everyone stacked up, who is #1

OP starts a troll thread and says Mahomes is the GOAT

turns into an interesting discussion, its not peak performance over a time frame to me

you are right though and ignoring the stats compilation over 21 years alone, how can anyone outweigh Mahomes 3/4 in six years over Brady in 7/10 in 21 years by itself in a QB GOAT argument is beyond me

for the 6 years stretch do I get Andy Reid as HC too? I feel like that would be pretty important too

brady and reid might be even better than mahomes and reid

mahomes looked like absolute shite half the game last night.

throwing behind people, overthrowing, underthrowing, missing guys, very unlike him to be honest

Yeesh. Don't even compare Brady to Mahomes. It's an even bigger gap across the board

Mahomes has the stats of Aaron Rodgers and the "winning" of Brady

No, you know nothing else, you get a 6 year stretch. You take Mahomes 100 out of 100 times.

Brady isn't as good as Mahomes, so I don't see how this would occur?

Ok, how'd Brady look at 28-3?

Hell, Brady threw 2 balls in the 4th quarter of that comeback that legit went right into the hands of Falcons defender. He blew that game twice and got 2 additional chances. That's in addition to his play to get to 28-3.

you are right Shel,
drew brees is the greatest quarterback of all time
you have proven it here, thank you

for the record I repeatedly made the winning, leadership, longevity, stats arguments for brady

not just 7/10

you guys can zero in on specifics of anyone’s resume and pick it apart, but who is the GOAT QB is based on total resume. Everything.

maybe it will be Mahomes one day, who knows. he is definitely on the right track, but he isnt even close to the GOAT QB status yet.

also, the OP is a troll

I can tell you why Jerry Rice is the greatest WR of all time without even mentioning the playoffs.

Can you give any reason why you believe Brady is the goat behind SB titles?

What’s funny is Barry Sanders is nearly universally considered to be the superior RB to Emmitt Smith despite winning like 2 playoff games his entire career. No one has a problem with saying Fitzgerald is a better WR than Edelman either. But don’t you dare say clearly superior QBs are better than Brady because muh team accomplishments

He had no business being the MVP against KC and Ty Law should have been MVP in TB’s first SB.

You can't deny that every data point and subsequent question I asked are valid. You didn't attempt to answer, just getting snarky

It is what it is.

Brady is tGOAT, but Mahomes is coming hard and fast in his rearview mirror. Another 5-6 years like his first and he’s going to be even with Brady, at worst.

Once again
I have made the different resume components arguments numerous times in this thread

I am tired of drive byes like this dairy idiot coming in and arguing against themselves or cherry picking things in this thread

Read the thread and see the totality of what I and others have said or don’t

IDGAF

Brady has the best, deepest and most comprehensive resume for GOAT QB

He has the stats, he has the wins, he has the leadership, he has the longevity.

No one else has the comprehensive resume in all four aspects that Brady has. Nobody

Maybe Mahomes surpasses him, maybe he doesn’t, but he is not there yet and has a very long way to go

OP said Mahomes is the GOAT now and that is a joke

Exactly
But man shite changes quickly, that is another thing about Brady. Staying elite for so long with so many changes.

Mahomes is the kid.

Brady is the goat.

But kids grow up to become goats.
