Hot take alert!

And Mahomes will win at least one if not 2 more SB's. Hard to win anything when you have 2 turnstyles at tackle.

After Super Bowl XIX, following a season in which Dan Marino shattered almost every passing record in just his second year, everyone was convinced he and the Dolphins would be back many times. Didn't work out that way.

Hot takes right after super bowls make for great bumps years later. This is another one

Maybe. Nobody thought Favre wouldn’t win another in 1997.

Or Marino wouldn't make it back to Super Bowl.

Nah, he was all class in the post game and talked about lessons learned. He'll be fine

I'm sure he knows that it is no disgrace to lose to a Tom Brady led team. Now, if he had lost to a Daniel Jones type, it would be a different story.

He's not done but Tony Romo acting like he could possibly win 7 or 8 Super Bowls like he was saying last night is absurd.

Mahomes should stop running backwards so much, IMO.

Other than that, he's still a top 2 QB in the league and about to enter his prime, so no he's not "done."

agreed. either side of that is dumb. could he possibly be dune, maybe but its extremely unlikely. could he win 7 or 8 super bowls, again possibly extremely unlikely. what is likely is he keeps the same form and likely keeps kansas city in contention for the next decade plus (or whatever team hes playing for if he leaves at some point) while winning one or two more along the way.

its like people completely forget theres a middle ground

Yeah he was starting wild MSB threads with his mouth in front of 50 million people.

It wouldn't be completely surprising if Mahomes never won another Super Bowl. They are hard to win. The Chiefs will likely never have the core group of weapons they have right now any other time in his career.

Mahomes amazing throws

The first throw in this video might be the single best throw I have ever seen.

Mahomes is not done. Tampa Bay's DL against Kansas City's backup OL was an overwhelming mismatch. No QB in the history of the sport would have had a good day with that kind of pass rush coming at him on every snap.

Dude he was getting pressured at an insane rate, and still made insane throws. That one where he was horizontal and hit a receiver in the end zone only for it to bounce off his face was amazing.

And? Marino lost his 1st SB, and only ever played in one. Mahomes was one offsides penalty was playing in 3 straight SBs.

Did people like you and OP actually watch the game? Any other QB would’ve been sacked like 10 times behind that line. I’m not even a huge fan of his but I can still admit he was only the player on his team that showed up to play yesterday night. He had essentially 3 backups on the OL and was suffering from a turf toe going up against one of the best front 7s in the league. I don’t know how he’ll hold up physically long term, but his combination of arm strength, accuracy, awareness, and athleticism is insane.

will say this about Mahomes...there's an injury issue that is starting to creep into his career. Is he becoming injury prone? Last year with the knee, now he is having surgery on his Turf Toe, which is known to linger and in some cases ruin careers. Will Mahomes body last for the long haul? That is something worth watching over the next few seasons.

Good post. The Chiefs need to draft several lineman. There's no guarantee that Fisher returns to form. Achilles injuries are brutal.

If they continue to put him behind a patchwork o line you’ll be right. He does have a massive contract that’ll make it difficult to put pieces around him.
