I was 9 years old when the braves went from worst to first in 91. That combined with a lot of my friends in elementary school were braves fans got me hooked for life.

I was born and raised in Lafayette,LA and grew up collecting Ron Guidry baseball cards because he was from my area.. Then when I was 11 and really was watching baseball religiously, I fell in love with Don Mattingly and the '86 Mets. So ever since then it has always been Yankees first and Mets second in my heart... I also keep up with the former LSU Tigers in the league.

Been a Cardinal fan since I was a kid, it is the team my dad cheered for so I did to, plus we could see them play when they played the Astros every year. Which sady ends this year.

I was a roger Clemens fan, not so good to be now. I really got into it while he was with the Yankees. Then got into the Astros while they made their run. I kinda stick with both, but probably the Yankees more.

If we had the TV coverage that we have now back in the 80's and 90's I probably would have been a Giants fan due to growing up with their AA farm team.
I will allow you to adopt the Giants as your NL team once your beloved Stros make their voyage over to the Gay L West next season.

I always cheered for Boston because they're the only team with fans that hate the Yankees as much as I do.

I know several guys in their late 60's and 70's who are Yankees fans. Apparently during the 1960's, the only baseball games shown on TV in south Louisiana were on CBS's "Game of the Week" which later went to NBC. The Yankees were supposedly the team most featured on those broadcasts.

Mom's entire family is from Atlanta area. Grew up super early going to visit and attending/watching Braves games. Never strayed despite most of my friends in Shreveport being Rangers or Stros fans.

new orleans relates well with consistent losers
And, I believe Roy Corcoran from LSU beat him that night for the Zephyrs.

I have no true affiliation with any MLB team. Only really got to watch the Braves and Cubs growing up. I usually cheer for underdogs and small market teams because they remind me of the Saints. I'd like to see the Cubs actually win a world series one day.

So am I allowed to be a Yankees fan or not?
