aren't the rules changed now to where kids attending a school inside the boundary of a LL program can use the school's address for eligibility and they give waivers for kids living in an area with no little league or not attending school in zone?

I do not care where or what school in the same district they pull kids from. My OPINION is you should be able to get more talented kids for any region or state. All star players are standouts in LEAGUE play, but are typically AA, AAA, talent. Every now and again you see a MAJOR player in the LL games, but not usually. I am saying this for all teams across AMERICA, not just those Louisiana boys.

In all it is still fun for them to play on this level and that is what it is all about. GO LOUISIANA!!!!!!

You know what they say about opinions? Little League has the broadcast contract with ESPN. It attracts top talented kids from all over the country with the kids dreaming of a chance to play on ESPN. Little League changed their age rules a year ago, now only allowing up to 12 year olds to play, that's why the kids are smaller. The Eastbank team has a great starting pitcher that will start the game today. Their chances are very good!

Does North Louisiana even have Little League? I left West Monroe in 2005 and Dixie Youth was king and the Shreveport area was too.

American Legion was a tier below that

Is the coach Lenny (R.I.P.) and Freddy Frazier’s Brother? They were from Harahan and both were excellent ball players. Lenny played at USL and Freddy played at Delgado. Can’t remember where he finished.

Not being a smartass, but why?

The leagues BR had actually allowed leads etc etc. I remember thinking the top teams would kick these LL teams arse

I remember teams in Dizzy Dean in Kenner, Dixie Youth in JPRD that would smoke any of the LLWS teams that I saw at the LLWS, except maybe the one with the 18 year old from NY.

It's a great accomplishment but I agree, Baton Rouge and New Orleans could have made it in the past had they wanted to especially if Lake Charles and Lafayette made it in the past.
There is just as much talent in both cities but the best players choose different options.

Carrollton 12's won Cooperstown 2 years ago...they're plenty of talent..now granted the 14 year old LHP that just signed with LSU was on that team, but the rest were from nola/jefferson...

a few of the kids that played on the Eastbank team that went to Waco 2 years ago used to play on that Carrollton team

Morgan fit had a historic landmark called “Swam Gardens” where the first Tarzan movie was filmed... they tore it down to make more little league fields... why???? I have zero clue.... Morgan city is a dump with zero industry and went from 18,000 to like 9,000 population.... YES that makes a difference.
