Strange business. I always have to wonder how some people can't get their schools right when it comes to transfers.

Well, WM will just plug someone else in.

West Monroe has already knocked em out in football and boys basketball and have dominated in baseball so far this season. I guess they can hang their hats on softball.

Can't overlook the Dandy Lions.

I saw a few people mention the LHSAA changed the way they determined the host school after the first round of the playoffs.Anyone care to explain what is different? Does the higher seed always host now?

My brothers school hosted, now has to travel...if they advance to the quarterfinals vs a higher seed that has hosted in the first and second round will they still get to host in the quarterfinals? They would have 10 years ago just curious if that is still the case.

A lot of these matchups may very well back to one game decisions. Some parts of the state will be getting pretty decent rain by tomorrow afternoon, according to the "experts", especially in the west and north. Very important to get the W in the first game.

Yeah.. I think there was some wisdom to using your Top Gun in game 2 to either eliminate or stave off elimination.. but I think last year everyone learned ACE UP in game 1... because... games 2 and 3... can vanish...

That's why I don't understand why they don't use the whole week and play game 1 at the lower seeded team on Tuesday or Wednesday, then instead of maybe having to get two or three games in on a weekend, you only need to play one or two on Friday or Saturday.

Because some of these teams could be playing up to 4 hours away from home, too much travel and school missed would be the main problem with that I imagine.

End the regular season a week earlier. Play every round on Friday/Saturday, best 2 out of 3. Seems logical. Simoneaux said this AM he'd like to see the first 2 rounds be 2/3 then 8 teams advance to state. Play the games over 3 days, single elimination, and force a team to win 3 in a weekend.

WM looks damn good. I saw in the newspaper (possible USA Today) that they are #1 in the nation. First 2 games, 2 10 run rules. Can't get much better than that.
