Second year in a row the #2 seed loses. Opens the door for Sam Houston (#3) and now Central BR as the second highest seed left on that side of the bracket (#7). Live Oak took the last meeting against Central and you have Denham sitting there (remember they went to a major all star tournament in Atlanta earlier this year and went 3-1 against some of the top teams in the nation)

West Monroe should be cheering loudly tonight as they are now the expected favorite.

Barbe and Destehan out, aren't they the two teams that beat West Monroe?

LHSAA must figure out something better in 1st round!

I much rather the one and done... Ace vs Ace. Only people who prefer 2/3 series is the fan base of teams who have 3 solid pitchers.

Agreed. Upsets make sports great. Sure the best team doesn't always win but the story behind the teams that get that upset will be one to remember.

Yes. WM's two losses are out.

WM 8-0 bottom 4. Pearson with a HR the first AB of the game. 12th of the year.

shouldn't we want the best baseball teams in the state to have three solid pitchers?

I like seeing upsets like a 31 over 2. That's just me. Ironic because I was on the wrong side of the upset before.

Are they truly "the best" team though because they rely on 2 other pitchers to get them a win when the Ace vs Ace mathup goes as planned? Haughton based off their schedule seemed like a really good team under seeded.

JJ, I saw they played West Monroe early and it was close. How did Haughton look?

Haughton played WM very close both games. They're better than their record.

West Monroe has already knocked em out in football and boys basketball and have dominated in baseball so far this season. I guess they can hang their hats on softball.

JJ why didn't you answer my post from earlier today?

I asked you what you knew about the defensive back transfer from West Monroe to Ouachita..

I just got wind of that yesterday from a reliable source.

I believe it was George, but not sure. Just know he started last year (or I was told).

Strange for a kid to transfer from West Monroe to Ouachita. Very strange.

Didn't see it. We're in the middle of spring practice.

Not where I was told, but I try not to talk about kids like that on here. Hopefully he will be back at WM next year.

I never said the kids full name.

I do think it is Ouachita though as it was clearly stated.

Just thought it strange. Maybe you don't find it so strange. But, it is regardless.
