LSU sports is self sufficient to the extent it takes no monies from the State to operate. TAF is far from being in trouble, challenged or otherwise.

I guess they do deserve to be called U of Louisiana after all.

In fact, TAF has some real challenges in the coming years.

Of course. But all that money puts them in the red. They have to draw in revenue through ticket sales, merch sales, and donations. Do you think they all broke even?
They technically count that as revenue
For example ULL gets 16/18 from the school as "revenue" but is still 5 mil in the red on top of that
So the school money is just not counted on top of that basically. ULL has just spent well above their means even after that massive amount of investment from the institution

Newsflash: Most Division 1 athletic programs do not turn a profit. Correct me
if I’m wrong but annually less than 20% of FBS programs turn a profit.

I think the number may actually be in the single digits. The difference here is these three programs ran a deficit and went over the amount they transferred from the general budget by the listed amount.

Do these numbers reflect the LSU game this past season ?

That just sounds wrong but I did a little digging and I see that now. I guess they treat it like some companies do profit centers from an accounting standpoint.
Here is a good resource I found, though it just goes to 2021.'
Looks like the FBS was $331,361,071 in the red as a whole for 2021
5 Conferences were in the black in 2021.
Southeastern Conference - $128,110,088
Conference USA - $21,226,912
American Athletic Conference - $16,318,700
Atlantic Coast Conference - $14,370,258
Mountain West Conference - $7,405,368
5 Conferences were in the red in 2021.
Big Ten Conference - $332,981,099
Pacific-12 Conference - $117,879,419
Big 12 Conference - $56,004,613
Sun Belt Conference - $5,479,486
Mid-American Conference - $4,499,677

Louisiana tech and southeastern didn’t really turn profits either. They just didn’t spend beyond what they got in revenues, including the general fund transfers, that they all take. And I certainly wouldn’t expect any of the schools to turn a profit. The question is, what is the appropriate amount of subsidy.

ULL should be forced to balance their budget or disband athletics

ULL needs to cancel their Football program for the main reason being they hired Michael Desormeaux as Head Coach.
Now that their finances have come to light, there is no reason to keep the program.
The solution is to let ULL students be able to buy one ticket next season to LSU vs Grambling, LSU vs Army, or LSU vs Georgia State + and for ULL to run 15 passenger van shuttles to those that want to see Football.

Those reporting profits:
Louisiana Tech - $399,234
Southeastern - $100,571
That's why Buc-ee's is coming to Ruston first. The second one in Louisiana will be near Hammond.

There are plenty of lawyers that have gone there. I'd say they have a good reputation of putting out some lawyers. They aren't Tulane, but they have respect.
LSU, Tulane, and Loyola all put out decent numbers, usually between 80-90% pass rate on one of the harder bars in America.
Southern had a 40%~ pass rate my year.
ETA - They put zero effort into actual bar preparation. Everyone that goes there has great grades as they do a great job of ignoring the ABA mandated first year curve. Then when it's time to take the bar, you're on your own.
In contrast Tulane, LSU, and Loyola have semester long bar prep courses before you even get to your actual bar prep class the summer of the bar. It's pathetic what Southern does. Essentially a J.D. Mill.
