As for Michigan's OOC schedule, They play 9 B1G games. LSU plays 8 SEC games and their OOC schedule other than FSU is pretty weak as well.
Now compare LSU’s conference with Mich/OSU’s conference
What an absolutely ignorant thing to say
Ignorance is not realizing the thread is about OOC schedules which are impacted by how many games you play in the conference. It is also pretending the B1G isn't the second-strongest conference behind the SEC. The SEC vs B1G for 2022 were 3-2
Let me ask you a question, do you think Michigan's 3 OOC opponents (19-19 overall, One team with a winning record and all FBS opponents) are weaker than LSU 3 OOC opponents (13-22 overall, no team with a winning record and 1 FCS opponent) outside of FSU, which was the point I was making.

Georgia State (FBS Sunbelt 4-8)
You left out #14 Florida ST in Orlando
Which I stated. My point was because of the 9 conference games the B1G plays. The comparison of non-P5 opponents, basically. Once the SEC goes to 9 games, I suspect a lot of SEC teams will not schedule a P5 opponent once their contractual obligations are finished.
And for the record, I do not like Michigan, I just try to be fair-minded when looking at these things. I know this probably isn't the place to do that

Doubt they will get out of their own conference again. They have a habit of stepping on their own ... well. you know

Exactly. OP has a weird obsession with big 10 teams

outside of FSU
Why is this the caveat? FSU would be the best or second best team on Michigans schedule.
The big ten is a lot more top heavy than the SEC. Sure, there are probably only 2-3 teams that could win the SEC this year, but the difference is those teams have to bring it every week against the middle tier teams or they could lose. You play a lot more “good enough to beat you on their day” teams in the SEC than the Big 10. Hell, Georgia needed a miracle to beat Mizzou last season. One of the better college football teams in our lifetime (UF 2008) lost to Ole Miss. When you have 3 or 4 vanderbilts in your power conference every year, you can’t champion an extra conference game as some feat of superiority.

Michigan and ND. Living on a name from 50 years ago.

They are playing a conference schedule. What do you want them to do? In recent times they've played some quality out of conference opponents so it's not like they are ducking any one.
Also, upcoming OOC opponents include Texas, Oklahoma, Washington, and Notre Dame.

They have an easy path to the playoffs, and will prove they don't belong there....again

This applies to Georgia too right?

They have almost always had at least one good OOC game until last year. I believe they were supposed to do a home and home with UCLA last year and this year, so there's part of your reason for the schedule. At least they beat OSU the last two years to earn their spot.

This year, look at the last 5?
No championships despite-
2018 Final Four Championship game
2019 College World Series Championship game
2018, 2022, 2023 Frozen Four
2021, 2022 NCAA College Football Playoff

Also lost the WCWS final to UF.

When you consider the average margin of victory for all playoff games since its inception, two to three of the playoff teams are usually waste spots. Hell, most of the championship games have been pretty damn lopsided as well.

How many times have we gone over this.
Had OU on the schedule but the REC mixed the game due the OU/UT expansion.
Also had a home and home in '20 and '21 that Ohio State backed out of.
We've have almost always scheduled 2 P5
OOC and many have been home and home.
Not our fault out in-state rival sucks and we're pretty much stuck with playing em.

Dude don’t even try to talk strength of schedule between pretty much any SEC team against the supposedly hardest BIG 10 schedule. Because you will lose that battle 10/10 times.
Plus FSU alone on LSUs schedule is tougher by a wide margin than any team on Michigans schedule not named Ohio St without even getting to the SEC schedule LSU plays on a yearly basis.

Man, if Fick makes a quick impact this one could be electric. We’ve given them good games a number of times recently, just haven’t finished.

The big 10 schedules for 2024 were announced yesterday, and Michigan's schedule is pretty awesome. They'll play Texas, usc, ucla along with their usual big opponents.
