Yet, over the past nine games Ball's stats are as follows:

FG%- .278
3 PT%- .206
8.6 PPG

More disturbing to me is that during the last 11 games:

FT % = .308

Watching the Pelicans and Lakers last night, every time the Lakers shot it seemed they could not miss. At the end of the game, when it was realized Lonzo was shooting 3's, the Pelicans had to know they had that game. I couldn't understand why Walton had him in there when Lonzo was struggling so badly. He may eventually be a good pro, but his outside shot needs a lot of work.

Meh he did not have a great rookie season but I would still bet that in 6 years we are gonna look up and he'll be a top 10 PG.

But it was embarrassing how the pelicans wouldn't even get within 10ft of him, and get still missed the shots.

I think him passing the ball right there is even more embarrassing

To me it's that he's taken roughly 285 3pa attempts to 251 2pa ( Ben Simmons is 0-10 for the entire season & is efficient).

Ball's only 20 and I'm very impressed with his overall game ,but......

Has he never learned a few post moves with his size advantage? Little jumper or floater in the paint? Use his length to finish around the basket? It seems his game works outside in and he is ineffective if his streaky( generous) 3 point shooting isn't falling. It's 3 or bust with his scoring.

This is a factor of not having a repeatable shot.

Is a top 10 point guard worth the #2 pick in the draft?

The pelicans beat them the other night by forcing him to take shots.

Gentry said this after the game.

I try to reason that Ball will turn it around but his lack of getting to the FT line at his size is alarming. He should be trying to exploit mismatches against smaller guards.

Lonzo can not play defense. He is a liability on the defensive side.

Yeah, so he can take them and make 40% hahaha.

Let's just say this. When Andre Drummond, who shoots a career 41.8% from the charity stripes and is currently hitting 60.9% this year, is having a better year than you (44.9%).

You got issues. He's shooting 3.1% better than Andre Drummond. That is historically bad.
