NSU football came very close in 1998 and have had some solid teams in the early 2000's so I know it is possible for the Demons to make a run. In FCS all it takes is an good young coach to turn a program around very quickly.
So I could see us getting a solid coach in and becoming a contender again.
I will say that I've lost all hope in this coaching staff and this is by far the worst shape the program has been in.

so I'm almost 50, I have seen my teams win alot. Just those last two and the one I care more about, LSU Basketball, is going no where Tourney wise...have had a good fandom!!!

Blazers: If not with Lillard, it might be 20 more years until we have another superstar. I feel like we have a good shot with Lillard though.
Broncos: Last year baby! Odds are they'll be in the hunt for years to come.
Oregon Football: No clue. Maybe we catch a lucky break and surprise everyone like 2010 with Kelly. Or another Mariota type player and make a 2014 run. Or we go back to mediocrity. Unless you're a CFB powerhouse, it's hard to predict.

Caps: haven't ever won, only been to the Finals once (1998)
Orioles: Won title in 1983. Never been back to the Series.
Bullets: Won title in 1978. Went back the next year. Never been back even to the conference finals.
No. I don't think I'm ever gonna see one of my pro teams win a title. This year is sort of the last chance for this incarnation of the Caps.
