Jared Goff, potentially a Super Bowl winning qb. Imagine having said that after the trade.

I remember the first press conference he ever had. Some laughed but I thought "man that's about the perfect guy to try to make it work in D-town".

I'm often wrong but it just felt like the right culture fit for the Lions.

Technically you're right, but I think they likely need some playoff experience before they make a deep run.

No matter, they're playing great ball and could be the 1st or 2nd seed, especially looking at their schedule.

I love the story but the Niners would beat them by 10+ in the playoffs

All of the little blue check nerds who were beside themselves when he was hired and made fun of his presser should be eating some crow

How about those same blue check nerds who absolutely lost their shite over the Lions draft this past spring. They were universally laughed at over their first four selections. Turns out, they know what they’re doing after all.

Bro’s physique, demeanor and personality as an NFL head coach supports your theory. Success doesn’t hurt tho

And consumes 2-3 pints of gelato nightly. And has a Catahoula Leopard dog.

Hope they make a run in the playoffs especially since I know the Falcons won’t.

I'm sure we'll call but no NFL coach who is actually winning, let alone in Detroit, is going to leave for college.

What NFL team will give you a $75M buyout?

Lions zigging when the rest of the NFL zags is pretty cool.

NFL - let's all hire young, "hot shot" OCs who wear hoodies and devalue the hell out of RBs

DET - let's hire a yoked up country dude who looks like he could bend rebar with his bare hands, sign a RB to a big contract, then use a top-12 pick on a RB in the same offseason

We will call him more so to get his take on the job and what’s needed to shift the culture I think

Jared Goff will keep that team from fulfilling their highest potential.
