Also “war chest” is a bit much given how devalued those bucks picks are looking.
The picks are 4 and 6 years from now.

If this is a surprise, you haven't been paying attention.

And Giannis is signed for 5 of those years already. Maybe you get lucky and he decides he wants out but I wouldn’t hold my breathe, nor would I want to give up assets for that long shot lotto ticket

As crazy as this is to say, I'd probably give up more for SGA than Lillard.

Only OKC has more future draft assets than HOU right now. And I think there is a sizable gap between CC and whoever is 3rd.

the thing here is things change all the time. Just bc someone said they were happy two years ago doesn’t mean the same is true today. This should be common sense Bubba right?

The Pelicans have like 1 less 1st round pick than the Rockets through 2028, and 3 of Houston's are this year.

How many swaps does pels have?
Posted on 7/16/21 at 9:38 am to Boomshockalocka
I wasn't counting those, but I believe they have 2 with the Lakers left and 2 with the bucks? Something like that?
Posted on 7/16/21 at 9:40 am to Boomshockalocka
I know we have 2 swaps with the bucks (24 and 26) and at least 1 with the Lakers (23). The 3rd unprotected FR Lakers pick is one that is technically 2024, but the Pelicans have the option to defer it to 2025, so they control it for 2 years.

i'm trying to do that math. does that account for the picks they dealt to OKC for Russ?

i think we have 2 more but i haven't looked at that in over a year

Say someone says the Suns are arse and then they make the finals. Things didn’t change. That person was just terribly wrong.
Your assessment of what Lillard was capable of doing to force his way out and cripple his organization was simply wrong. Especially when you consider you essentially said he’s the most respectable player in the league because he ain’t about forcing things like Harden.
