Yes.
Warren Easton and Riverdale had to move their game to 4:30…. I guess the figured they’d have more people at the Rummel Curtis game, and would be harder to clear the stadium if they played at 4:30.
Besides, it’s Rummel’s homecoming.

Aren’t most schools this week having a fall break? I wonder how that impacts games moving to Thursday, as faculty wants to get the week over with early

Thanks man. I guess Mandeville is not getting much respect from the voters. They have a real nice offense this year. Defense needs to get better, but they have a D-I cornerback.

It’s ashame the football players from Assumption can’t have a home game again. The actual players had nothing to do with the fight.

At least they get to play again… their administration needs to take the time to rethink how they do HS football if something like this happened

There was a reason deputies were already on the field at the final whistle.
As someone who was there on the field for the game, I feel bad for the Assumption team. I want to commend the coaches/staff/players for how they handled an extremely tense situation. They had those players sit down on the field at the 50 for nearly 2 hours and did as they were told.
I've never witnessed something like that in person. It was animalistic. I dont doubt there were some bad eggs outside the stadium, but those kids already decided they were fighting someone halfway through that game.
I just lurk, dont ever post here....but just want to make sure people realize what happened was going to happen whether they had 4 deputies or 50.

Glad they weren’t this strict back in the day, we had a brawl with Zachary after the game one time, I think they suspended like 2 players from each team
