But what is happening with Archbishop Curtis. Is the game starting to pass up JT?

600+ wins don’t guarantee you the next one

He might have to be Paterno near the end to pass up McKissick

Btw looks like we’re in no matter what happens tonight

Looks like yet another winless season for Morgan City. Hey w are they able to stay in 4A being so bad. If they have enough students s to stay where they are they must have some crappy athletes.

Never understood this about Morgan City and to some extent Berwick who can find some success every once and awhile. I guess Central Catholic gets all the good athletes and the ones that don’t end up at the public schools.

St. Amant beat Denham 38-8.

Dutchtown beat Live Oak 42-13.

Walker beat EA 38-17.

Prairieville beat St. Thomas Aquinas 41-0 I believe.

Cecilia beat Collegiate BR 54-0. Not completely sure but I heard that Collegiate didn't score a TD all season.

They did not. Great trivia question: what high school did not score a point all season but won a game? Collegiate 2024. They beat U High due to forfeit.

My son's team played them back in 2021 - tough game to watch. You legitimately worry about the kids' safety. And to boot, they play in a nasty 3A district with U High, Madison Prep and Parkview.

Like what are they even doing over there they can’t be that small, slow, and undersized naturally

Do they even run an offense? Or even practice? The posters on this thread could lead them to 30 points over 10 games imo

What makes their season long shutout even more “impressive” is that given their history, they’ve probably seen way more backups and scout team players than most schools once the games get out of hand… and still don’t score

ASH keeps getting help w Union, Opelousas, Destrehan going on streaks. Unfortunately you can’t fix Many, who knew they could fall so far.

Don’t think it is possible to jump Karr if we beat Neville. But it would get closer for sure.

I would like to see an ASH win tonight myself since we played earlier in the year. We are #16 right now in Div 2 non select. Dug into the teams around us and I think we will be ok to stay on the playoff home game side if we win (v. Tara) and we should. I could also see Brusly losing to Istrouma and falling below us.

We have our work cut out, Neville is strong. If it turns into a rainy slip fest I will hate it. But who knows. On a fast track most teams run into matchup problems with our offense.

Game shows as cancelled on Geaux Preps.

Not sure what that's about.

Honestly the difference between 1 and 2 isn't that big. Both guarantee home field in the semifinals.

Just about every weekly LHSAA thread has at least two Catholic fans shitting on him.

He did call a direct snap to the RB on 4th and 12 from the 50 when he was winning by 11 with 4:30 left in the game. You have to assume he thought it was 3rd down.

They knew it was 4th. It came out of a TO. Head scratcher to fans for sure but you gotta believe he felt his D was gassed and likely was gonna struggle to stop them.. felt tilting the field a bit was worth it and the result that happened would be a crushing blow to Zachary. It’s not like their D was stopping Catholic that often

Correct, it is really just something to talk about. I dont see an option more favorable than the other whether you are paired with Catholic, Acadiana, or Karr. Either way you got to play well to get to that game and then beating one of the aforementioned will take a really clean great game.

I agree. It was intentional, and it was a risky play done in an effort to keep the ball. At that point in the game each team was scoring at will. Catholic was up 2 scores and had the ball with 4+ minutes left. It was one of those plays you attempt because if you get it, you greatly increase your chances of surviving a comeback attempt.

What I didn't get, though, was why after that play ZHS didn't at least attempt to play a clock game and stop CHS and stop the clock from draining. Best case? You get the ball back down 14 with 3+ minutes left. You've been scoring at will and you've already recovered one onside kick, why not mirror the CHS coach and do everything you can to create an opportunity for your guys?
