GC hit a field goal as time expired to win it 38-35. Game was winnable for CHS but they were sloppy and gave up too many big plays

So tonight was just a fluke?

I don’t think Hahnville is that good this year and lost 3-4 last year. They lost 27-0 in their jamb. Hell Haynesville beat West Monroe one year when they were defending 5A champs and Haynesville was 1 or 2A. shite happens sometimes.

Bears did better than I expected. CG was looking for payback from last year and CHS ain't the team they were last year.

Our Lady of Good Counsel. A school in Maryland. Catholic beat the crap out of them last year. Bears taking a step back this year it appears (factoring in Dunham hanging with them in the jamboree).

Newman beating a very large public school in that manner like hahnville is a pretty big deal

Zachary has the district sewn up after week 1 and without having played a district game.

Nah they are a nationally ranked team from Maryland they were doing a home and home with. They are probably the better team but Catholic had every opportunity to win and just didn’t.

I mean St. Charles smoked Shaw, Many smoked Sam Houston and Notre Dame beat Southside. Congrats on the win against a bigger school and doing what every other top 2a school did

Wasn’t Hahnville without their star starting QB as well?

Arch gonna make a lot of people on this board look like morons while leading Newman to a state championship.

Going to be amazing to witness

Ruston lost to Warren Easton 25-19 in OT. Ruston's RB,Dyson Fields, got kicked out after scoring a TD in the 1st quarter. Apparently he got an unsportsmanlike before kickoff and then got one after he scored.

On the highlights it looked like the Def guy should’ve got the penalty instead of the Fields, but he did and that was it.

Not having him was huge bc he’s one of the better RBs in the state. Side note, he’s a really good baseball player as well.

Maybe Arch has a shot if LCA moved up a division. He’s not winning one if LCA is still D3 and even if they moved up, he still has to deal with St. Charles Catholic

Woah now I’m not an Arch hater in any capacity the kid is a great talent. I’m just talking teams. I don’t see Newman beating Notre Dame or SCC. Their game against Many will be a big tell though. I could be wrong
