Look at the combined power rankings.
It's insane.
It's insane.

did it get called due to lightning, weather or darkness? game is not official unless it went to 5th, provided aforementioned didn't happen.

I'm saying it's more likely that they win in a 3-game-series at this point. If you're in the 20s or 30s it's likely that either you played in an insane district or your pitching staff was not deep.
If you think Walker isn't secretly happy that they might play a best of 3 with NISH instead of facing a Live Oak team in the quarters that swept them, you're deluding yourself.

Oh, they're 4-5A aren't they?
Who'd they beat?
Who'd they beat?

it’s a shame what’s happened to 6-5A and 7-5A... I’ll accept that the Catholic League takes almost literally every kid from 8-5A who can play baseball but the Northshore and River Parishes should still be keeping some of theirs...

After St. Paul’s self reported playing an ineligible player all year. They now forfeit all their games and now are seeded 12th in the DI Playoffs. Your #5 TIGERS (22-9 | 9-3) will now host the #12 St. Paul’s (0-29) tomorrow at 6:30 PM

Sucks for Holy Cross. Seems like St Paul’s shouldn’t be allowed in the playoffs

Byrd benefits most
They have a cakewalk to semi
St. Paul lefty committed to LSU can beat anyone
St amant relief pitcher got ejected in a tie game because of a uniform issue in their loss to captain Shreve

Happened to me my senior year. Still have recurring nightmares about it.
Cool story, I know

9th grader played but 9th graders have to sit out from Varsity if live outside the District and it is their first year at the school.
Probably slipped through the cracks because 9th graders are almost always just playing 9th grade or JV at St. Paul’s.

“The school inadvertently violated some LHSAA rules concerning the baseball team,” St. Paul’s athletic director Craig Ketelsen told Crescent City Sports. “Because of that, we lost wins and power points. As soon as we found out, we self-reported.
“I am thankful for the extra work the LHSAA did in order to allow the team to continue to play. It’s a credit to the LHSAA and their mission statement. They could have said ‘you’re out.’”
Cooper Winchester, a freshman in his first year at St. Paul’s who has started games, was ruled ineligible, which was confirmed by his father, Jeff.
“I am under the impression that you must live in a certain district/area to play in your first year of eligibility at a school,” Jeff Winchester said. “We assumed he was eligible and had no idea. The school cleared and chose him to play varsity baseball. We assumed that all protocols were followed for him to do so.

Number of Top 16 seeded teams advancing:
5A - 10 (all games were 6 run wins or less)
4A - 16 (only 2 games were less than 6 run wins)
3A - 13 (about half of the games were competitive)
2A - 12 (about half the games were competitive)

What’s messed up about that is that those forfeits would have affected the nonselect bracket...
