Yep you’re right, it’s crews and specific umpires who don’t enforce it, because they either don’t care enough to enforce it, or because they don’t ever read the rules and case books.

It’s time LHSAA revisit the postseason format and consolidate some of the divisions in select. No class besides 5a should be 32 teams.

Never heard of Cristo Rey. They played 8 games of 11 scheduled, that should have disqualified them, it was against 7 teams. They won 1 game. They lost 26-0 to Ascension Christian, #22 in Division 4
LCA likes to recruit in every sport, they can move their arse up to Division 2

The most obscene thing about LCA isn’t that they recruit... (the way schools that recruit win, everyone should be doing it)
It’s that they charged $12... and then for game 2 of the series, they had to clear the stands and charge $12 more...

or does Div I playoff rules allow ALL teams not no probation into the playoffs, if so then that's the rule. Holy Cross likely would have had to face St. Paul's at some point in the playoffs. Instead now it's in the first round and no rule rule series.

All Division 1 teams make the playoffs, so St. Paul’s could
have not played a single game all year and still made the playoffs.Those are the rules because people chose to form a Split division with so few teams.

Correct. It is entertaining to see the public schools that voted for the split bitching about that outcome now.
As for Holy Cross, it is unfortunate that they have a much tougher first round opponent now........but if you want to win state you will have to go through St. Paul’s at one point or another.

This is best of 3 playoff baseball. They earned the right to rest their arms this weeekend and still beat Scotlandville 23-0 and 18-1.
Instead, 2 teams in their district that they finished higher than get the joke series instead.
It’s complete bullshite. It’s a farce.
Holy Cross swept Rummel and now Rommel gets McKinley while HC might get eliminated. You can’t justify that.

I don’t know the answer to this question but are all of the playoff rounds in Division 1 three game series or are some of the rounds 1 game?

In DIVISION 1, 1st round games are best of 3.
