Lane’s mom and another media member told everyone what the umpire said(Facebook).

That dude loves him some WM. He was in here claiming central had no shot a few years ago. It’s baseball. Both teams had one double. WM had guys on. Walker did not.

Wow. IF true, that was a low cheap shot on a kid at a very emotional time.
Knowing Coach Arledge & Simoneaux, a compliant will be made to the LHSAA against this ump.
And if the allegation is true, then this ump needs to be suspended from calling anymore games in the LHSAA.
It takes a petty, small man to taunt a high school kid after a loss, especially from, an ump who is supposed to be impartial.
Anywho, great season for the boys at West Monroe.

For future reference, a pitcher can throw up to 34 pitches and still be eligible to pitch the next day. Guidry threw less than that in the inning of work in the semifinals. See the guidelines in the attachment.
In the best of 3 series, coaches might use multiple pitchers on Friday and still have all available on Saturday if their pitch counts are below that threshold.

So I did some digging. It was not after the game. It was after ump called a balk on Little. West Monroe fans and coaches went crazy as it was supposedly a bad call. If the ump did say that to the kid he was definitely wrong. Of course there’s three sides to every story.

Doesn’t matter if it’s out of the blue or if the kid told him something prior, it shouldn’t happen.
The umps are trashy as frick and are not accountable at all.

I saw an umpire this year getting heckled after a few bad calls and he started talking shite back to the fans. Paying more attention to the fans than the game in front of him and when people contacted the coordinator of officials about this behavior, they didn’t give a single frick

It goes both ways. I’ve seen umps get personally berated and not respond at all. Sure, the product on the field could be better. But the product in the stands could be better too. Some fans just don’t know when to stop. Say your peace about a bad call, then move on.
