Does it really matter if they're gonna get destroyed in 2nd rd by Destrehan?

I could see Woodlawn winning that game. Just depends on which Woodlawn team shows up

Where can I find the power rankings for 5A. I am curious to include the private schools to see what the brackets would like if there wasn't a split.

Matching up WM-Haughton and Northshore-Chalmette would also work, and their seedlings are much closer. I’m sure there’s similar matchups across all the brackets that could make travel much easier with very minor adjustments to the seeds.

This is what happens with march madness... the NCAA will move someone around a seed if it make sense for geographic reasons. It would have made sense to do Northshore a favor and move them down a seed to get a closer game.

Have you seen destrehan?

If you have you wouldn't say this.

Marcus Scott has brought a defensive mentality to that team and is as good as I've ever seen destrehan in 30 years. Eugene has become a grown man now and matured to a DI player with talent out their ears on both sides of the ball. Wont be pretty on the road for Woodlawn.

I've seen woodlawn and their defense, especially at linebacker, will struggle mightily all game staying with Destrehans running game alone.

I feel like if we make it to the semis, it'll be against Acadiana.

I think you get Ouachita in the quarters. I don’t expect Captain Shreve to make it to the semifinals. I don’t see them beating Acadiana in the quarters.

Well not as many people got a trophy. So if the goal is for more people to get a trophy then you are correct.

Captain Shreve is a typical over rated Shreveport team. They will not sniff the dome.

we can play Northshore whenever... 99, 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 11, 12, 13, 14...

I want a chance at my dream matchup of West Monroe at Chalmette. If that happens I don't even give a shite if we win or not.

a little perspective from my point of view... when i was in HS we were 4A and 3A at the time the WM-Evangel rivalry was in full effect. then when we got to 5A we thought it was cool but that WM was still in a different stratosphere. Then we had our first playoff game there in 2010. I still remember that wall they set up on the punt return and that we were so excited to get 6 at the end. Then we got a little better and John Ehret played them a few times. We wondered why even John Ehret didn't hold out for a home and home. Then we went there for the playoffs again in 2020 and played them close until the last few minutes. Now it might happen at our place and I'm telling our AD it should be a regular season home and home lol... when you think about it, this might be a rare playoff home and home, just off by one round. We had one like this when we played Lutcher in 3A.

I’m not going. My dad and I have season tickets for Hahnville, but he doesn’t travel to many of the away games. Another home game would have been nice….a relatively close playoff game and we probably would have gone.

And who has Destrehan played this season? Don’t get me wrong, Destrehan is really good, but I’m going with this as my upset. I could very easily see Destrehan going to the dome and knocking off Zachary.

I have Zachary knocking off Destrehan.

Stat acts as if destrehan had a choice when the storm tore through there and caused then to lose some very good non district games.

They lost Byrnes out of South Carolina, and that is just one of the games they missed out on.

Hahnville is very good and will beat Ruston at home in the second round. Destrehan beat them 42-7. Hahnville beat DeLaSalle on the field 14-13 and DeLaSalle has some dudes.

Zachary doesn't match up with destrehan at all.

Sacred Heart of VP is playing St. Ed’s for the second time this season. They are rivals.

In their first meeting, sacred heart scored a late td that upset st. Ed’s to where they received several unsportsmanlike conduct penalties and a cosch was ejected, according to the radio broadcast. Sacred Heart ended up having to kick off from the st. Ed’s 7.5 yard line, iirc. I know it was inside the 10 because I don’t even know what to do at that point. You can’t even have the ball travel ten yards to recover it.

There will be lots of yellow flags in that game.

Hahnville has a pretty solid defense but, offensively, is a crap shoot. They had a couple injured RBs the last few weeks of the season. I don't see them getting out of round 1. Hahnville also lost to ESJ 8-3....the team is unpredictable.

Got a cheerleader and a dancer, twin sophomores. So I’m at everything it seems. Hell she even danced at soccer games last year.
