Karr (7-2, 5-1), which dropped from No. 2 to No. 5, will take on the No. 12 Huntington (7-3)/No. 2 Woodlawn-Baton Rouge (3-7) winner.

How the heck is Woodlawn the 2 seed with a 3-7 record?

Clearly a typo.

Thanks. I deleted a character by accident when I went back and inserted their record.

We’ll get it fixed

Hope so. I didn't go to a game this year but did watch a few online and it was hard to watch. They always have good running backs but the O line needs help. It's sickening seeing all those big athletic linemen at DHS.

Also need to ditch the ugly uniforms and helmets and get back to tradition.

It won't be trust me. We have zero passing game at all. We are a one man team.

Maybe but we’ve played the weakest schedule in 5A according to strength factor…y’all still have kids who played in the Dome

I've got no dog in this fight at all, but Central BR looks like a tough 18 seed. A non-district loss to De La Salle to start the season and then two close losses to Catholic and Zachary and blew everyone else out.

They are a good team. A tough draw for playoff opponents. They just have to resist the urge to act like they are from Central.

East Acension being left out should be a wake up call for Darnell Lee. The toughest schedule in 5A is great if you win a couple of those hard games. De La Salle was their only good win. Quit scheduling Zachary, West Monroe and Destrehan non district and do like St Amant and play Jefferson Rise Charter, Carver and Booker T. Wins mean more than schedule strength, plus you're less beat up heading into District. The District improved greatly this year, so they didn't need to load up out of District games like the ones they played.

Just play two of those kinds of teams per season. There was no need to play 5, usually really good 4A/5A football teams every single season. A few of those being some of the best programs in the state.

Southside is the newest high school in Lafayette Parish. They don’t have a stadium yet. Their first 3 years home games were played at Teurlings. This year’s home games are played at St. Martinville High School.

It kinda worked last year with upsetting West Monroe, but this year they couldn't get over the hump. Beating De La Salle 44-7 was good, but losing 3 District games was too much to overcome. None of those three were particularly close either. Leading Destrehan 7-0 at the half was as close as they came against the better teams. (they lost that one 21-7)

Is 5A down this year? I am trying figure how in the hell Ponchatoula is the 23 seed? We are not good at all. Play at Chalmette, I expect us to get smoked.

Because the LHSAA really wants to end the split. So they took every school that takes kids from out of zone and made them Select. Every private, charter, and school with open enrollment. The thought that was if they put enough of the public schools in the Select bracket, the vote would swap to end the split. So Ponchatoula is 23 in Non Select D1...But if there wasn't a split they would be 29. They really don't have any bad wins/winless teams/worst win was 3-7. That Walker win went a long way in getting their power rating up by getting 18 points.

They put Pineville in the playoffs. 2-8, 0-5 in district, losing all games by a combined 200 something to 35 or so...........

They are just awful. But in the playoffs. There is just no rationale that makes that right.

Without the split, Pineville would be 51 out of 62 5A teams.

Covered them in the jamboree. FB is 6-2, 220. They run the flexbone. One WB is pretty much the same size. Sometimes he will move to FB.

Both are big and strong, and fall forward for yardage almost every play

They have a smaller WB who has made some plays. The QB is a threat to keep it.

Have a tall WR who will burn you if you fall asleep. Defense has had some issues

How bad you lose to someone has no bearing on your power rating. The only thing that matters is that you lost.

This is got to be the reason Jesuit is hosting a playoff game with only 4 wins.

I mean, they played 7 top 10 teams in the state but they beat Rummel who beat Curtis who beat Karr.

So, you get the 15 seed
