So what exactly happened?

That makes more sense than a wild pitch. You couldn’t see crap on the Facebook Live feed.

It was a pass ball. Supposedly the Benton players rushed out to celebrate tying run and when catcher threw it back to pitcher it got past him and trickled into group of Benton players. 2nd run would've scored anyways but 3rd run would have been stopped had WO players been able to get to the ball. That's what Thomas was arguing about. That's just what I was told. Don't know if they actually were in the way or not.

The ball never touched any of the Benton players, and the catcher wasn’t really obstructed, the ball was rolling along the backstop and the players were out of the dugout but they were further up the line. They shouldn’t have been out there though, the umpire should have called it dead once they came out but he didn’t. The catcher was upset because they were out there celebrating, not because he was obstructed. The WO folks were super good sports about it all even though in the end, that run is what cost them the game.

I’m glad they aren’t coming back though. Those whistles were fricking obnoxious.
