Maybe she should have questioned going to Russia.

Taking cannabis into Russia. Or being dumb enough to have it in her luggage.

I know a guy was in jail 1 month and paid 20k in Cabo because he went on a hunting trip with a bag and accidentally had 2 .270 cartridges in the bag

He don't know that he don't know.

Where does he propose she go?

Yea, probably the whole war thing and all.
There wouldn’t be a war if Trump was in office.

And he’d still get Griner back if there was.

I mean does he seriously not realize she is in a Russian prison? She'd probably take being in a US prison much less being back free.

She went there for a private reason to make money. She personally choose to break their laws. Why exactly should the country "have her back?"

This isn’t the fricking hood. It’s not the job of the American government to “have your back” when you commit a crime in another country, especially a country like Russia.

It's dumb for many reasons, but it also just makes zero logical sense.

If she gets out of 10 years in prison, it'll be because of America, so why would she NOT want to live here?

If America doesn't get her out, the whole question of "Do I want to live in America is moot" because she'll be living in Russia for the next 10 years.

She publicly dissed the US while she was over here then came crying back once she got in trouble overseas.

If Rich Paul or Maverick Carter had publicly disrespected him then got in trouble and asked to be bailed out, would he do it?

In general, 100% yes.

In the midst of a war in a country like Russia knowing the current relations with the US? 100% no.

I get that she's gonna do what she has to do to get back, no doubt.

But it was rather funny seeing that letter she wrote with her talking about how patriotic she is and celebrating the 4th of July, which was all complete BS.

The Griner situation should be approached like an average U.S. citizen that breaks the law in Russia. Her status as a pro-athlete and a “star” is like a diversity hire. A man with her basketball skills would be working a desk job in America

Is there any way we can force him to leave too?
