They truly don’t need the players at all to be rich and wealthy. The players absolutely need the owners to be rich and wealthy

and this is where i disagree. the players need the owners for the structure that they provide. but the players need us to be rich and wealthy. we are the ones paying their salary. not the owners

if the current group of owners did not want to pay these players, a new group of owners who do would emerge and all of the money will switch to that league

you can say the owners dont need the players to become wealthy, which is true, but we have already decided that sports are something we as a society will pay money for. a sport league is going to exist because theres demand for it. and the demand is for the players so they are going to get wealthy because of us

in fairness he didn't say he was a slave, but that NFL owners have a slave mentality. It's still an absurd thing to say but lets at least be accurate here.
