At the 4:12 or so mark and again later in what look like home games for Green Bay, it appears as though there is a baseball diamond on the field.

What’s the story there?

Someone’s been watching The Blind Side and peddling off the opening like it was their own astute observations.

But watching the highlights, the guy was basically superhuman. So damn fast and strong as hell from his fingertips down.

Teams literally had to plan their entire offense around keeping him out of the backfield and away from the ball.

Sort of exagerating and hyperbole.

They had to plan on not having a stiff white guy at left tackle from Boston College.

Teams didn't change their offense. Nobody does that. NFL teams have their offense and we're going to beat you because we'll execute better than you.

Now the '86 Bears, teams did try to plan around that front and change their offense.

But that was the one rarity.

The only thing L.T. changed in the NFL was everyone clamoring for a stud left tackle.

Teams didn't change their offenses, in fact the predominant offense flourished, the WC offense during L.T.s dominance.

It's the fricktards like the Raiders and a few other teams that were still running 20 yard outs and 40 yard ins...were hurt.

No doubt.

Some claim he's #1.

But people ran their offenses and tried to minimize damage. There were only a few set offneses in the NFL at the time.

There's no evidence that people changed their offenses for one player. They tried to change who was at left tackle and their blocking schemes.

But the only defense that made people think, we have to do something entirely different was the Bears 46 defense. And even then nothing really changed and soon the Bears were irrelevant.

He had a full defense around him for most of his career.

The real GOAT at outside linebacker IMHO was Rickey Jackson.

Uh you mean the guy that played with the rest of the dome patrol had no other defenders to help him out?

Green Bay used to play some home games in Milwaukee at County Stadium.
