He's already 15th all time in minutes played

But still well behind players like Malone and Kareem and KG. The issue is Lebrons game has relied on his speed and power, which is breaking down fast. And I’m not sure he can modify his game enough to stay elite

There's a reason why they're still top 4 favorite to win the NBA.

Because they have a bandwagon fanbase that doesn't utilize critical thinking when evaluating their team? Which allows Vegas to fleece the idiots?

I mean you have people questioning whether or not they'll make the playoffs FFS.

How has AD done leading teams to the Playoffs? How did LeBron do last year? So you take a guy with chronic injuries and team him up with a guy who is starting to lose his battle with Father Time but people aren't supposed to wonder how they'll make it through 82 games?

I've said all along that I see the Lakers fighting for their playoff lives and probably falling somewhere 6-8. But one untimely AD shoulder ouchie and the Lakers have a legitimate shot of missing out to a young team that goes on an end of the year run.

By the end of this year IF he stays healthy he will be right where kobe was (minutes wise) which then catapults him to 6 or 7th all time in minutes. Aka the window for the Lakers without kawhi is this year. They have to stay healthy to have a shot at it and between AD and aging LeBron, the odds are against that.

Problem is no bench. Lebron is going to have to manage his minutes and AD will miss at least a month.

The top 4 thing is idiotic. That’s just a bunch of Lakers fans putting money on them. They’re arguably not even one of the top 4 teams in the West. I would take the Jazz, the Clippers, the Rockets, and the Nuggets above them.

LeBron James at 35 years old is taking that team nowhere. He plays no defense and will try to cruise through the regular season. It’s comical to think the Lakers will finish anywhere close to the #1 seed.

Get ready for Dwight Howard/Kobe 2.0

1. Clippers
2. Warriors
3. Nuggets
4. Blazers
5. Rockets
6. Jazz
7. Spurs
8. Lakers

Laker fans, look I’m not a Laker hater by any stretch. I have spent time around the Pelicans for work for years. AD does not react well to pressure at the NBA level. He will realize that LeBron and his own agent will not let the King take any blame if anything goes wrong. This roster will not allow load management, throw in that he is a full on hypochondriac and I just think this is a disappointing year. Maybe I’m wrong, what the hell do I know?

The LeBron hate + the AD hate is leading to some hilarious fricking takes. Jesus Christ.

Instead of appealing to emotion, like a child, how about you explain why you disagree? The concerns raised by more knowledgeable fans isn't something you can just hand-wave away.

For starters, the Lakers aren't done.

Secondly, judging the best teams by playoff seeding is asinine in the day of load management. The Lakers will make the playoffs and they're not a team, when healthy, that anyone will want to face. They still have two top 5 players, something no other team can say.

ETA - and I'm not a fan of the Lakers fwiw. I understand why they get a ton of hate, but it's gone past the point of objective thought.

You’ve got the Warriors too high and the Jazz too low. Nuggets or Jazz snagging that one seed.

Nuggets aren't tier 1

They barely beat the Spurs and lost to the Blazers without Nurkic

Lakers still have two of the top 5 players.

Need to grab two more players and they are fine. Rondo and Morris would be great.

Nuggets are a good regular season Team. Agreed that the aren’t a serious contender to win the conference.

Top two:

Rockets
Jazz

Next two:

Clips
Lakers
