If he measures at 5'10 or more he's definitely a first rounder

this has been the biggest non story for a while

Ive been saying for months he was going to play football, and the second he was handed the Heisman it was official.

I live 10 minutes from where he played HS at, and everyone and anyone in Allen that know him and his family have said he going football for a while now.

He LOVES football, and he likes baseball. He always played baseball because he was good at it and his Dad played, but it was way obvious he was more into football.

Plus he likes the bright lights, not riding on a bus from AA to AA town.

He will go in top 15, book it

Yeah I have no idea. His signing bonus with the A's was $5 million. I just don't know how disbursement of that bonus worked with him given he wasn't playing right away. But yeah, unless he's drafted in the first round of the NFL draft, I think he'd have more financial security in baseball. The projected signing bonus slotted for the 1st pick in the second round in the NFL is $3.5MM. Best of luck to him, must be a great problem to have.

Great Picture. He will never be able to stand in the pocket and deliver passes in the NFL.

That camera angle doesn't remotely show reality.

There is a thing called depth perception and things in front will appear far taller than things in the background.

They're not actually standing side by side, Murray is behind Tua but the camera fooled you.

Good thing he can just play in the shotgun for whoever drafts him.

Should have stuck with baseball. Could make more money and save his body at the same time.

Good for Kyler, I don’t agree I think baseball is the smarter long term move both financially and health wise, but he has to do what makes him happy. That being said this is a bad look for MLB in my opinion. Murray’s decision only furthers the notion that elite athletes don’t want to play baseball. Baseballs out of whack salary structure for young players and having to ride the buses definitely doesn’t help either

College stats and trophies mean nothing.

How many Heisman QBs flame out in the pros? Almost all of them.

"could have" if he made it to the bigs after years in farm system.

Nothing like sure money, and top 20nfl pick will bring more guaranteed $ than mlb is giving him now.

you are correct. Been sayin this for months. It is a qb driven league, and with new rookie contracts teams are not on the hook as much as years past. He will go early

I think so because it was a different sport? He lost his baseball amateur status, but not his football amateur status.

Probably so, as long as he didn't accept any endorsement money.

I remember a Colorado player being ruled ineligible a while back because he was accepting endorsement money as a professional snow skier.
