The outpouring of dedications and tributes to Kobe throughout the world (even in the most random of places) is amazing to see.

The helicopter should have never been cleared to fly if LAPD wasn’t even willing to go up.

LAPD flies helicopters to track criminals on the ground visually. No purpose to fly when there is no visibility.

Take Kobe and his daughter off that helicopter, is it really hard to believe a helicopter trying to fly in thick fog had problems?
nope. That's the sad part. This was a high risk flight. Avoidable.

Even in a thread about Kobe Bryant dying, someone still has to hate on Lebron James. Every single person is offering up their own way of memorializing and grieving. If he feels like he needs to try and win for Kobe, why is that selfish? You didn’t even point out his whole post which was much more than putting the Lakers in his back. Pathetic.

LeBron somehow makes this about him with his post. “Kobe’s legacy is my responsibility. I’m going to put it on my back. Please watch over me.”

You're trying too hard.

Something every pilot should say, always. Especially in a helicopter.

My issue is dude super edited a long statement from LeBron to find the most potentially controversial part. Here's his full post.

Man I sitting here trying to write something for this post but every time I try I begin crying again just thinking about you, niece Gigi and the friendship/bond/brotherhood we had! I literally just heard your voice Sunday morning before I left Philly to head back to LA. Didn't think for one bit in a million years that would be the last conversation we'd have. WTF!!

"I'm heartbroken and devastated my brother!! Man I love you big bro. My heart goes to Vanessa and the kids. I promise you I'll continue your legacy man! You mean so much to us all here especially #LakerNation and it's my responsibility to put this (expletive) on my back and keep it going!!

"Please give me the strength from the heavens above and watch over me! I got US here! There's so much more I want to say but just can't right now because I can't get through it! Until we meet again my brother!! #Mamba4Life #Gigi4Life"

It's not perfect, but it seems like a genuine statement from someone who knew Kobe pretty well.

Lebron is probably more heartbroken than any current player in the league about this. Anyone hating on Lebron right now is probably just a miserable person looking to be angry about something.

Go watch the interview from Saturday night when Lebron passed Kobe and just glows about him and what Kobe means to him for nearly 5 minutes.

imagine thinking how awesome it would be to be getting a ride to your game in a private helicopter with Kobe Bryant. Probably thought it'd be one of the greatest days of your life.
Exactly what I said. A chartered helicopter flight to an AAU basketball game! Unfortunately, we know the rest.

I've heard the impact was at 184mph,... Horrible. The helicopter was made in 1991. That's alot of miles.
