Its a college football show done live, I am not sure what more people want from the hosts. Whoever else would be brought in would be hated as well. Just enjoy it for what it is. I am really not sure what anyone wants to see on Gameday anymore.

We are probably just all a little jealous that there are guys getting paid millions to watch football and shoot the shite, so we lash out in bitterness and feigned "ugh, these idiots are beneath me" comments to cope with what we have to do to make a living every week.

College Gameday is so 15 years ago. I’m surprised so many of you still watch it.

That’s a bit of an exaggeration. I’m not a huge fan of Pat but he has grown on me a little. I compare him to my friend that is obnoxious and a one upper. He’s really a good guy, he’s just insecure.

This.

…and Kirk H gives me the impression he thinks he is smarter than everyone else and his smarmy shtick has gotten way old, do not trust what he has to say…agree that Pollack would be huge upgrade over Herbstreit.

There are many mistakes much higher than that in the list.

I’m not a big Pat guy but he has his place, it’s certainly added some life to the show. Anyone this upset over college gameday should just take their own advice

I did not like him but saw him closely at Gameday for the SEC championship and the way he acted with the fans and seemed to really enjoy being around everyone made me believe he’s a pretty cool dude.

The idea of America or America in its current Corporate media form?

Because real Americans should despise Kirk. We have had our fill of shills and fakery.

Pat was the best thing to happen to Gameday in quite some time.

I've just come to accept that as someone in my mid 30s, I'm no longer part of Gameday's target audience.

Kirk herbstreit is synonymous with CFB. Who would we get in his place?
He's a big deal when it comes to coliege football for sure. I don't think of him like Keith Jackson or Frank Broyles, because I very seldom watch a game he announces. I wouldn't miss him as an announcer because he's only done a few LSU games.

I only really know him from Gameday. He would be missed on that set. Not many great replacements working for ESPN now:

Sean McDonough
Greg McElroy
Jesse Palmer
Joe Tessitore
Bob Wischusen
Robert Griffin III
Kris Budden
Dave Pasch
Dusty Dvoracek
Mark Jones
Louis Riddick
Dave Flemming (play-by-play)
Brock Osweiler (analyst)
Tom Hart
Jordan Rodgers
Cole Cubelic
Wes Durham
TaylorTannebaum
Lowell Galindo
Fozzy Whittaker
Morgan Uber
Derek Mason
Sherree Burruss
Beth Mowins
Kirk Morrison
Stormy Buonantony
Taylor Zarzour
Matt Stinchcomb
Alyssa Lang
Tiffany Greene
Jay Walker
Connor Onion
Craig Haubert
Matt Barrie
Dan Mullen
Harry Lyles
Anish Shroff
Andre Ware
Orlando Franklin
Roy Philpott
Roddy Jones
Taylor McGregor
Brian Custer
Rod Gilmore
Lauren Sisler
John Schriffen
Bocky Boiman
Dawn Davenport
Jay Alter
Rene Ingoglia
Drew Carter
Dustin Fox
Courtney Lyle
Hutson Mason
Eric Frede
Jack Ford
Clay Matvick
Aaron Murray

Who are ESPN's college football announcers for 2023 games? (on www.sportskeeda.com)

Peyton Manning would be a possibility. but who knows, ESPN might think they'd need to go minority or a female. The worst would be to fill it with some wooden Big 10 guy like Brian Griese. To be honest Herbstreit was pretty boring when he started. He grew into it over time.

ETA: If Herbstreit left because the Couch Burner left, he was probably getting tired of it anyway.
