Peter is still basically a puppy. He might be 2 but that's it. So he'll be around for a while.

I wonder what the deal is. Does he have some kind of issue where he has to keep this dog with him all the time

He has said repeatedly that he brings the dog along as a companion since he is on the road so much during the season and it can get lonely.

I get it.

I would rather a dog running making noise in the hall then any human being normal!

Why are you upset about a dog playing in a hotel hallway? Are the Whoville residents sick of you yet?

How often do you stay in hotels with dogs running around the halls like in the OP?

How is that relevant?

If a person is paying to stay in a decent hotel a minimum level of accommodation should be dogs aren’t running around the halls.

Kirk needs the dog for emotional support; it is what it is.

Gotta be honest, it really doesn't bother me at all him being on TV and such. The fetch in the hotel hallway for internet clicks is a little much.

What if I'm upset about a dumb dog running around the field at Tiger Stadium during pregame warmups before a big game? Is Kirk Herbstreit the only dog owner to ever step foot in Tiger Stadium? Why does he get to bring his dog wherever he wants but no one else does?

I guess this privlege is allowed for those that cried on camera for all the sins of past white men.

I think this is a situation where both ‘sides’ are possibly wrong and right at the same time

On one hand, bringing your dog with you EVERYWHERE (presumably for attention/publicity) is weird as hell. Almost borderline obnoxious. My cousin does this with his golden. He figured out what bars allow his dog and he brings her because of the attention it gets him

But at the same time, who the hell cares? Especially in this situation in the hotel - If you aren’t allergic to the dog, it isn’t hurting you at all, you’re just looking for something to hop on a perch and bitch about

Absolutely understand that, especially since he has a retriever and they are probably the friendliest, funniest, and most fun breed to have.

I don’t trust people who hate all dogs. They are one level above Communists to me and I don’t consider Communists to be people so

He’s either seeking attention or he’s soft. Probably a little bit of both. Emotional support animals, part of the downfall of society.

It’s wild how much this bothers some of y’all. I couldn’t imagine even remotely being put off by this.

Because he said “dogs running around balls really bothers me” so I asked him how many times he’s experienced that.
