Eric Fingerhut ? @ericfingerhut Another brutal night for NBA ratings last night. The 8 p.m. game was down 15 percent from the equivalent 7 p.m. game last yr. The 10:30 game was down 40% (!) from the equivalent 9:30 game last year. Was last year's big ratings boost a bubble?
Eric Fingerhut ? @ericfingerhut 28m28 minutes ago That's four consecutive double-digit declines in ratings for the NBA, three of them down at least 36 percent. If this was the NFL, it would be like a five-alarm fire. But the NBA media narrative, I guess, doesn't allow reports of declining TV ratings.

Why does anyone care about ratings unless they're advertising during the game?

I don't know a single person who would stay up late on a Wednesday watching the Suns and Mavs

Only a matter of time before the Warriors started to effect regular season ratings. No casual viewers are going to watch until the playoffs when everyone knows it’s going to be Warriors against either Celtics or 76’ers. The regular season has virtually zero impact on who wins the title.

Don’t worry, brehs. The LeGOAT ratings stimulus package will be arriving tonight.

I can’t think of anything I’d rather watch less than a bunch of drama queens running around in shorter than short shorts.

It being an hour later couldn't have helped. I fell asleep during the 3rd quarter of the Mavs game because I was tired. Spurs and T Wolves also were expected to be playoff teams last year. Very few people are expecting that from either team that played at 10:30 last night.

I don't think it's about the 2 or 3 elite teams at the top dominating as much as it is the 75% of the league that is either half-heartedly or full-bore tanking.

I'm a casual Pistons fan. Give me one single reason that any NBA regular season game would be a must-watch?

off my lawn.

I watched a bit.
Ayton is the real deal.
Doncic showed flashes. He was puzzled by some calls.
Did not make it to end of first qtr.
Deeper deeper deeper.
7 solid hours of sleep.

You can also predict 95% of the CFB playoff teams every year.

Guaranteed you will have Bama, OSU, Clemson & OU in there every year

Right. Because one guy means the whole league are drama queens.

Every sport has drama queens but that doesn’t stop you from watching them.
